Hey guys i hate to bump this thread, but i searched and looked through the diy section. cant find it. anyone have a diy link for wrapping the trim? Thanks.
There is no DIY for wrapping. Just remove your trim and stick the vinyl on it using a blown dryer to get around the corners and edges. Its pretty straight forward.
It's just a simple decal application. That being said, it does take some finese and patience to make it look right. If you doubt your "skills" have a decal installer (fleet graphics guy) do the install(s) for you.

how easy was it to do the scotch print on the trim?
I've just finished watching a bunch of Youtube videos on how to apply it "professionally". Patience looks like the key when doing this stuff. And a good blade

Interior or exterior?
I'm not trying to offend anyone who has done it this way.. But doing it on the exterior trim without removing it is really ghetto IMO, I will not share publicly how to remove the exterior trim because frankly it is very easy to fuck up, and prob one of the most difficult tasks I've done to my car. If you want tips and are set on removing the trim PM me.
The interior trim is really simple, the vinyl stretches and re-tacks very easy, I used a hair dryer when I got sharp edges or complex areas.
Here's the exterior trim removed:
Only tip I can think of for applying the stuff is to be generous with a hair dryer. The valance has a lot of compound angles and was kind of a pita on some spots, but with some heat it sure made it easier. But for applying it on the interior trim I imagine it's fairly easy because there aren't any compound angles for the most part...just take your time and you cant work out any imperfection.

MEC- any vinyl print CF loses its CF look once cleared. It no longer has depth but looks 2dimensional
Looking very good. I'm probably going to do this to my interior too
Gonna try and do that little silver part on the trunk ya know? it's starting to like come off, so this would be nice to cover it, along with the inside trim, not a bad price lookin at like 23$ at checkout on amazon right now....You know a good place to order a new grille emblem cheap other then ebay or is that my best best shane????? My current one I did spraypaint black at one point and looks kinda blah now
More fun when someones on the end of the barrell... BELEIVE ME
I believe the fact that its good value and it looks OK, but I am concerned about the contrast with my already black interior....Even though my aluminum fish scale is scratched in a few places from the previous owner, I feel it looks a lot better in terms of contrast vs black CF on black leather interior...That's why I crossed this off my list of potential mods.

Well now I'm thinking since I already ordered it I might hold off. I just got an email from a dealer I had been talking to a bit ago about a 2011 A4 Prestige with like 13k miles in Red with beige interior for 35k. that a good price???.....what my point was I could maybe see what it looks like on beige interior in terms of contrast.

you could do the brushed trim rather than the carbon fiber? stands out nicely, looks good, but still different from fish scale... just another thing to think about

I have brushed aluminum in my beige interior, if I remember will post up some pics tomorrow. It looks better than I thought it would.
Anyone ever remove any of this stuff? thinking about doing to my interior trim but don't want it to be completely ruined if I decide to remove the vinyl later on

I have, came off the same way I applied it (with a hairdryer). Not a single residue left behind either.
This was off the back of my phone case, no my car trim. But I doubt its any difference
