Sunroof drain clogged - Dealer for CPO Warranty or DIY?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    2008 B7 A4. 35k miles.

I've got a leak in the right rear C-pillar. Most likely from a clogged sunroof drain. The right rear passenger seat belt is soaked.

I've got CPO warranty but there is an $85 deductible. Plus the hassle to drop the car off. About 1hr there and back, swap for a loaner. Repeat at pick up

Question is whether I should bother bringing the car into the dealer or just unclog the drain myself?

Will they do any more that unclog the drain? headliner doesn't appear wet. I don't think they will replace the seat belt assembly?
Will they replace the sunroof weather stripping?
Remove the sunroof and clean out any gunk?

Anyone else brought their car to the dealer for clogged sunroof drains?

My dealer (Rector Motors - best shop in the Bay Area! props to Roger the service writer!) provided free Audi loaners for warranty work. Anyone know if they still provide free loaners for CPO work?

    Thanks,
    Ken

Don't....Search "sun roof leak" and find my thread. It's a real easy fix of taking the rear fender well out and modding the drain nipple to flow better. I did it to mine, I used to have a wet headliner everytime it rained, after mod I have driven thru hurricanes without a drop of water on the inside....

I got a letter about this from Audi a while ago - saying they know of the problem and if you take it to them they'd take care of it.

Not true(atleast for the dealers around me).....they told me it wasn't a recall an was NOT covered for free, but would be happy to look at it for a fee lol

Letters were sent out by mistake to a large number of people. Water leaks are NOT covered under CPO, only the new vehicle limited warranty. Just clean them out yourself, it isn't very difficult
    05.5 B7 under construction finally

No wonder that thing clogs. Does the front also have the same type of grommet?

Thanks to everyone else as well about it not being covered by CPO. I'll dive in and get this done myself.

    Appreciate the replies.
