Hey guys, I was curious, how much a car would cost if one were to build it in Premium Plus and add the option you want in a Prestige.

Audi S5 - Premium Plus Manual (Going to Ignore Paint Cost & Gas Guzzler)

    S5 - $53,900
    MMI Navigation Plus - $2,000
Rear Acoustic Parking Sensor - $550
    B & O - $850
    Carbon Inlays - $500
    Sports Differential - $1,100
    Advanced Key - $550

    =$59,450

Audi S5 - Prestige Manual (Going to Ignore Paint Cost & Gas Guzzler)

    S5 - $60,200
    Sports Differential - $1,100
    Carbon Inlays - $500

    =$61,800

So the only difference here (as far as I can tell) is the Side Assist. Which Audi is charging $2,350? I'm pretty sure Side Assist was an optional add previously for less than $1K (correct me if I am wrong).

I truly hope I did miss something here, or I'll be building a Prem + with add ons in the future, vs getting the Prestige.

The only other thing I can think that is missing from Premium Plus and not on your list of additions is rain sensor for auto operation of the the wipers. Big whoop.

Might be an interesting discussion with your sales rep.

that's not it. my p+ has the rain sensing wipers and i'm pretty sure that was not even an option.

i think the only way it would make sense to get a prestige would be if you wanted to get side assist, as well as the options that are not available with the p+, ie. rs5 alloys, ads, cruise control and rear sunshade. otherwise they are just charging a premium for the 'prestige' label and side assist and it would just make sense to get a p+ with the options. it did make a lot more sense for the '10 and '11 model years as you could not even get advanced key, memory seats, side assist and auto-dimming mirrors on a p+. you had to get the prestige if you wanted any of those features. imo the whole teiring thing is retarded. they should've just let you get the options you wanted like they did for the '08 and '09 years.

that is unless i'm missing something.

I doubt the V6T S5 will be taxed as guzzler

    Kris,

I threw the Gas Guzzler out of the equation not because I believe it will be or won't available for the '13 S5....I threw it out because it would be the same cost in a "12 S5 Prestige and "12 S5 Prem +

Pricing for the '13 S5 are not even available yet. I don't know where you get the idea of bringing the V6T into this discussion.
