Debadged my car on Sunday used a blowdryer/floss/goo gone and cleaned the car. Today the car has some dust on it from driving. Perfect outline of the A4 and 2.0T . Wish i would of taken photos but cleaned the car and its gone again. Never had this problem with my B7, anything i can do to prevent this? Anyone have this problem? Suggestions to fix it, can't feel anything on the car
Weird, when I debadged mine I blow dryed/flossed/and goo be gone'd it and next wash the outline was completely gone. Was/is the car takin through automatic car washes a lot prior to you de-badging it?

Is the outline duller or brighter than the rest of the trunk?
I am thinking that maybe the outline is the fresh and clean factory paint vs. the rest of the paint that has been exposed to the elements.
But I agree with others, a clay bar and cleaner wax, but possibly focus on the whole trunk sections rather than just the outline. Blending is the key because black paint is very unforgiving of mistakes!
Agree with above Vr...clay the panel and hit with some fine polish (menzerna 4000 or something similar) then fresh coat of wax. Had the same on my brilliant black and looks like black glass now. Best of luck!
Thank you! Off-topic read ur sig, how do you like the 45% tint? Any pics?
I'm really happy with the 45 Wincos. There's just an ever so slightly blue hue to it - it's only noticeable in the slightest when staring at a window with heavy sun light going through it and comparing it to the front windshield - even then, it's barely noticeable. I much prefer this to a green hue which many ceramic tints have and it actually makes it look more OEM+. On that note, if you TRULY want an OEM+ look to your tint, 45 is perfect IMO. 30 makes the windows obviously tinted aftermarket. 45 can look just barely aftermarket tinted in some lights but then in most, looks like it's just factory darker. It's exactly what I was after:
'12 P+, S-line, NAV, OEM Sport Package
HR OE Sports, HR 15mm spacers, 3.2 Grill, Gloss Black painted surround
Wincos 45 tint, Rieger replica rear trunk lip, VAG COM mods, Festoon LED license plate bulbs
I debadged around 2 years after I bought the car. I used glue gone to remove the residue. I had the same problem, whenever the car got dirty, I could see the outline if the badges. Clay and wax fixed the problem. the paint wasn't even discolored at all - it is completely clean now..
