    Too many projects....

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So over the last ear or so I have acquired a few projects...

#1) My current A6 Avant... Its getting to the age where you do one of 2 things... let her go or go crazy.... We have decided to go crazy.

#2) T4 Eurovan standard... I have purchased the new VR6 powertrain and a dozen other goodies including a complete euro bodykit.

    #3) MKI Caddy.... Diesel.

    #4) MKI GTI... Shell.

There are detailed plans for them all and I have started to acquire parts for them all... however...

HOW IN THE HELL DO I FIND TIME FOR THEM ALL?!!!

I want to quit my job and just build cars.... However no one seems to want to pay me to play in my garage all day... And those three kids arent eating any less and university isnt getting cheaper...

So last night my wife came up to me and said firmly (but lovingly)... "Honey, I love that you have your hobby. I love that our boys want to take the time with you and you are closer to them because of it. BUT for god sake can you please just pick ONE car and finish it?! And can you please find a home for all of them until they are done?"

Its wonderful having a wife. They really get you moving on some things.... So this morning I drive over to my dads place (24 Acres). I explain my wifes desire and he says to me... Well I guess its time to build a shop! So we spent the day surveying a good location...

He has wanted an excuse to build a 30'x30' shop for a few years... So as soon as the snow breaks and the snow breaks and the ground drys we are going to start building. A simple 30'x30' pole shop. Running water for a toilet and a sink. Wood stove for heat. And a hoist for builds. nothing special. Just a toy shop!

I cant wait to get her done!

I am very excited and just thought I would share!

Yea it will be very nice....

The best part is that we dont have to put out the cash for property... Or rental. And we are going to split the cost of the materials and build it ourselves. So I sall said and done I should be into a nice size shop heated with a large concrete pad outside as well for $10,000! or less!

LOL the beauty about it is that is all on my dads place.... Divorce would be a non issue. The other great thing is I borrowed 10K from my dad and this is how he want me to pay it back! lol so in one real sense its costing me nothing...

What are your plans for the avant?

Also, I've had to learn to limit myself to one project otherwise I'm all over the place.

I hear that Dre... I have parts for everything all over...

As for the Avant... Here's just the tip of a very large iceberg I fear....

Tip of the iceberg? Am I not seeing a picture?

Never mind, I see the link now. I'll comment there.

The plan is a complete 2.7T w/ 6spd swap from a allroad but with a running TDI 6th gear from Germany for economy and cruising. rebuild from the ground up for a proper stage 3 introduction.

Body will be going wide with RS6 bumpers and side skirts hopefully. The new color is yet to be decided.

Complete interior tear out and refinish. With (hopefully) Recaro RS6 rear seats and Recaro Sportster CS fronts. I am hoping for a Burnt Orange leather interior with Paino Black mouldings....

    Blistine suspension...

Porsche Cayenne S BBK front and rear...

And my dream wheels Rotiform 3 piece Super Concave Deep Dish NUE's

I know its dumping 20K into a 2000 C5 but it would literally be a new car. And a completely one of a kind that would be hard to match... All for the price of a new civic.... And A LOT of patience and hard work.

    So that's the dream....

Hopefully it will be right in the middle of the build come the summer! as long as I can get the time I need to tear into it..

Either way it IS happening.... just at what speed I am unsure of....

Also that s why I started this thread...

    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...-and-criticism

Before I get in to the largest builds I have ever and likely will ever do I was hoping for some thoughts... feedback. Hell even critisim.
