    2003 a6 sport seat heaters

    hey guys

on my 2003 a6 with sports seats i noticed that the drivers side seat only heats the very first bolster area towards the knees, but my butt or back get no heat at all. the passenger side seems to work fine and get uniformly warm.

has anyone taken the seats apart to fix the heating elements or is there a guide that anyone has linked? Nothing came up on a quick search i did..

    cheers
    Marko

Kind of curious as well. I have almost the exact same issue as you. Only my thighs get warm, the rest, not so much. Back seats and passenger seat are perfect.

Probably a pain in the ass if I had to guess.

There's a writeup on vaglinks.com I believe. I hear it's not terribly cheap or easy, but if you buy another used seat, you'll end up with the same situation; my driver's seat does the same thing. The good news is, parts interchange between driver and passenger seats. Swap parts and let the passenger suffer, or buy a less-used passenger seat.

    After seeing this... http://www.vaglinks.com/Docs/Audi/C5...vicing_DIY.pdf

I think a new seat would be less stressful lol

Yeah I have had the same issue with mine too. Yet my friend with a 96 Ur-S6 has perfect seat heaters... I was hoping it would be a pad you could slide in, or OPTIMISTICALLY a wire issue not engaging the back part. Especially with a back injury, I would love a heated seat back...
