It helped my b5 when I had it. Car couldn't start one morning and ended up towing it to a shop. My car had so much carbon buildup they ended using seafoam. Car ran like a champ after.

awesome! Couldnt find anything on tachyon as a fuel additive. Do you mean techron?

Which way you plan on using it? Add to oil, gas, or a vacuum line?
I used it on my previous high mileage B5 2.8. I only used it for the intake manifold, vacuum line.
Search YouTube for Audi a4 2.8 sea foam, you'll see a bit of my smoke show.
Decent results, be sure to change ur spark plugs after.

AMSOIL P.I. is great! Add it to your fuel every 4k. For Direct Injection engines it is best to have the intake removed and professionally clean the valves.

BTW, our P.I. is guaranteed or your money back.

I Seafoam the hell out of my Rover for intake cleaning about once a year. Haven't decided if I want to try it on the s4 yet. Does anyone w/ carbon buildup issues have before and afters from a Seafoam cleaning?

I used it in my oil when I first got my car about a year ago. drove with it in the oil 1000 miles or so.. my valves ended up sounding like a symphony orchestra when I floored it.. this was with 150,000 miles on it.. changed oil and boy the sludge was their when I drained it. but the sea foam in oil makes the oil foamy and doesn't lubricate the valves enough I think.

so I would say no for the oil.. no damage but after 2 oil changes the noise is very slightly audible when I floor it...
