Why not buy a Seat RNS-E? For not much more $$, you'd have a far superior unit.

It's the RNS-E that came with an overseas 2010 Seat Exeo.

No, when I bought mine it didn't come with Australia maps that I needed. But your existing maps will work fine.

Wrong. US maps require converting the unit to NA spec, which is a lot more involved than the older units

Is it? Did not know that. Had to get the unit converted from EU to AU coding.

Well, Im still waiting for it to arrive in the mail.
This is the third rns-e Ive bought so far,
First one I bought from a seller named unslanted and it was just a regular 192 unit. us spec.
Its screen was scratched to shit and it had plasti dipped buttons when I got it. (the pictures appeared fine) clearly got ripped off.
    so I returned that one.
Ordered a 8E0 193 unit. Which I thought was shadey but it looked good anyways. Turns out its a a3 board with a fake Label.
Clearly shows different numbers and manufacturing dates with VCDS. seller to.ld me he took it out of a 2011 a4
its a shitty refurbished unit made up of used parts that wont even accept the security pin.
So i'm returning that and I just ordered the 3R0 035 193 unit out of a seat exeo.
Looking forward to it will start a thread when i get it installed properly
LED SCREEN AND 32 GB SD capacity FTW

holy crap. I was looking at getting a 8E0 193 unit and now I'm scurred. Every once in a while I see a great price pop up, but I've always been hesitant to pull the trigger.

I think as long as you pick up a seat unit, or an 8P0 unit (a3) and swap the faceplate yourself you should be safe.
Deffinitly learned the hard way...... thank god for paypal claims otherwise I'd be out a ton of money with nothing usefull to show.
