I'm curious about this as well.....Is this a light-deletion mod as well as a paint job? Or is this painting over the lights and the rest of that assembly?
...and if painting over the lights....is there light-bleed?

No rear fogs. The paint was thick enough to cover it well enough to not let leak through. I've also toyed around with the idea of using spray tint in a lot of coats, then using LED bulbs to shine through, and make it a black LOOK but keeping the rear fogs. (I've since purchased a euro tub, so its back to stock color anyway lol)

^^^remove the trunk liner. There are two fabric covered screws in the corner, two in the hand hold, and two behind the warning triangle. Then its just clipped in and you pull it out. For the plate surround there are three torx screws along the bottom edge and for bolts that go through the latch assembly. Remove the nuts in those bolts and the screws and pull it off.
