B8 A4 S-line suspension same as S4? (Shocks and Springs)

I am looking for clarification on whether or not the B8 A4 and S4 share the same shocks and springs. The H&R aftermarket part numbers are the same for each car.

I'm looking for OEM S-line suspension or H&R OE springs, but if just the springs, I'll need stock Sport shocks as well. My car does not have sport package and is really high.

I believe that there are only two suspensions, sport and regular. Sport is used on Sline, S4, and TI. I could be completely wrong though.

I would think the S4 front part #s at least should be different. The Bigger V6 has got to weigh more than the 2.0T, seems that the suspension tuning would be different in both compression and rebound damping.

S4 shocks/springs are completely different part numbers.
The s4 springs are 33% heavier than a4 sport springs.
I had both and I am sure the s4 was stiffer.
Shocks were different part nunbers compared to a4 ones.

You can use s4 shocks paired with a4 springs or aftermarket springs made for the a4.
    That's what I did.

I have OEM sport springs for sale if you are interested.
Used for 20k and you can see the drop in the earlier pages of my build thread.

I would have thought so too, I knew that was the case on older Audis, but when I looked up H&R part numbers there was no difference. Just bought the car and want to lower it a bit, and maybe eventually get an S4. Debating on doing nothing and leaving it stock, putting on Sport suspension, or getting new springs/shocks or coil-overs and swapping them to an S4 if I do swap cars eventually.

Used/cheap OEM S-line suspension would be ideal for now I guess. Only interested w/ shocks though.

Dbl check the HRsprings again. I was pretty sure the springs are different for a4 and s4.
I've seen aftermarket shocks or coilovers be the same for a5/s5/a4/s4.

I guess they are the same part number....
Very interesting. Should sit lower on s4 then.
Anyway they are good springs. I got em on my ride and love them.

This is a typical issue with some aftermarket suspension parts, "they" make a general part for all of the cars in the range. If you want a lower car it will be fine, but if you are an auto x guy or are looking for the best handling you are going to want a set up that is made exactly for your car.
