My B6 needs new tires Goodyear Asymmetrical 2???

    Hey guys,

I need new tires, and I'm thinking I want summer tires. Nothing better than pulling out of the neighborhood and hearing every piece of sand and dirt being picked up from a good set of sticky tires.

Anyway I was thinking of giving this new goodyear Asymmetrical 2 tire a shot. I read an article in a magazine about it, I can't remember if its road & track or european car. What are your impressions? Any Other suggestions?

I will need a 235/45/17. Also any tips on a good shop to get them installed at? I'm in San Luis Obispo,CA

    Thanks

How do these stand up to the tried and true Conti Extreme DW and Hankook V12's? Tire Rack has no data on them because they are new. Im always a fan of their tests and reviews on tires. The Goodyears are $100-$150 more then its Conti/Hankook counterparts, make sure your getting better performance for the extra cash.

I've fitted a set on my wife's B5 QTS. Good wet grip very quiet and have a decent edge bead to protect the rims.
I've got two on the front of my B6 QTS and again quiet, nice steering feel, good grip, large protection bead.

I bought after reading a tyre review run under TUV guidelines in a German mag ( AutoSport something??). My german is almost non existant but the tables/graphs and pictures were so clear it didn't matter about the words.

I will be putting them on my b5 as soon as i need tires. good luck

^the G-forces are a great tire for performance, I loved the way my car cornered when I had them on my 19's
however they are a lot stiffer than the Hankook V12's that I replaced them with, so they rode harder/louder and bounced you around on crappy pavement
