    Need help on upgrades

    Hi guys,

My name is Carlos and I'm new to Audis. I got rid of my nissan s14 and recently bought a 2001 Audi TT Quattro 180HP
I'm looking to do some quick upgrades before any big plans just to up the power.

What do you guys usually recommend to begin. I'm being told to upgrade to a KO4 turbo, use a forge 007 diverter, intake and exhaust. If this is fine how much boost can the KO4 turbo handle with stock internals safely.

    Are there any other recommendations?
What would be the best exhaust to use single or dual brand wise.

    Thanks for the help..

Thats a decent path to follow. This is not like your Nissan, the K04 will run out of breath before hurting anything in your motor. If you are serious about making some power skip the K04 and heat over to CTSturbo and find yourself a kit. Good luck.

+1 on what lorge said if you want some serious power. GT28RS works well in my car, but depends on your power range and $$$

The K04 is the stock turbo in the TT 225HP version and a good option if you want more power at a decent cost. Plus, you won't need much mods to make it fully operational with your car.

depends on $$$ to spend, read what others do here and other TT forums, as a driver the ko-4-001 i used in my fwd vw 1.8T was torquey down lo, but ran out of air up top 100, mph in 3rd easily, i had the apr chip for it as well as exhaust and other supporting mods, do the research first, the $$$ add up quickly, holidays usually bring discounts, good luck and do what YOU want and can afford
