    Step/Courtesy light help

Ok, just installed all LED lights in the interior and as i got to the driver door on the bottom (step/courtesy light) i took out the bulb, replaced with LED and now it only turns on right when i open the door and only for a 1/2 second. It has nothing to do with the LED bulb as i tested it with the OEM bulb. I dont know what happened, maybe i pulled the connector out too much. Anyone have any insight on this or similar problem. Its only on my driver door.

I had a very similar issue when I was installing my LEDs. I just screwed around with the metal connectors (which were a huge PITA) until I got it. Youd be surprised at how finicky those things are...

I believe i tried everything in the book. I even tried the whole unit on a door that i didnt even dick with yet and it doesnt even light up at all. when i played with the connectors is when i got it to at least light for the 1/2 second when i first open the door.

You mean all 4 doors have this problem, regardless of what light is in there?

No, just the driver side door, I have tried putting the working passenger side unit on the driver side but it still does the same thing, then when i put it back on the passenger side, it works perfectly. Seems something to do with the driver door. Also if the door sits open for a while and i hit make some sort of electrical surge such as moving my electric seats, the driver light will flash.
