I know there are a few varieties of the Unicorn. But this is in reference to the variety that I own - B7 Ibis Ti 6MT Avant. I contacted AoA to some avail, but alas they fell short on giving me all the information I wanted. I'd like to urge my fellow unicorn wranglers to contact AoA as well, and see if perhaps we can get some decent numbers. Below is the information they were able to provide me:
558 Model Year 2008 A4 2.0T Avant 4-DR 6-SPD Quattros were sold in the US.
42 Model Year 2008 A4 2.0T Avant 4-DR 6-SPD Quattros with Ibis White exterior were sold in the US.
32 Model Year 2008 A4 2.0T Avant 4-DR 6-SPD Quattros with Ibis White exterior and Ebony interior were sold in the US.
1 Model Year 2008 A4 2.0T Avant 4-DR 6-SPD Quattros with Ibis White exterior, Ebony interior and the options your vehicle is equipped with were sold in the US.
Unfortunately as you can see it doesn't mention anything about the elusive Ti Package. But knowing that all Ti's come with a full Ebony interior, we can extrapolate that there were less than 32 unicorns sold in 2008. If I had to guess I'd say it was probably somewhere in the teens. Of course this is only 2008 model year. I believe Ti was only available in 2007 & 2008 correct? So, let's see if we can pin this down, and find out just how rare these cars are. Of course this is also only for 6MT, since we know that is even rarer. I'd be willing to bet that Tips are more common, so for the time being let's keep this restricted to 6MT.

Ready, GO!
I know of one B7, Ibis white, Ti pkg 6spd avant that drives by my house regularly. My dad talked to him once. He bought it from across the country, sight unseen.

Mine. 6speed.
You should contact AoA and see if they'll give you better numbers than I got. The idea is that if everybody with a unicorn contacts them, maybe one of us will get some decent information

Gram....I recently went from a B5 avant to a B7 avant. They really are a totally different car. Make sure you drive one first.
I figured they are totally different, as they are two totally different chassis. What would you say are the biggest differences? And are they positive or negative?
edit: I'm sorry, I don't mean to be shitting up your B7 Avant thread

gotcha... There is a white B7 titanium around the NW area.... thought that was you.....check out NWquattro.
I've lurked on there a couple of times. Should probably check it out in more detail.
Well I heard back from AoA again. They still say they can't (won't) elaborate on the numbers they've already given me. They claim that is the limit of the information available, which I don't think I believe. So here's another push to the rest who own unicorns - call/email AoA, and try and get some numbers, and post the results here. I'd really love to be able to actually get a firm grasp on how many are out there. At this point all we have is an educated guess.
