    Audi s4 b5 timing belt!:)

    Hey guys im doing my timing belt at the end of this month and this is what i got so far
    timing belt
    idler roller
    tensioner roller
    hydraulic tensioner
    relay lever for hydraulic tensioner
    water pump
    cam seal (2)
    crank/oil pump seal
    thermostate
    thermostate o-ring
    drive belt
    schwaben cam locking tool


    anything else you guys would recommend while im in there?

    Crank lock pin, makes it fool proof!

    What year? Think about trying to find a metal thermostat housing if you don't have one. I think the early 2000/2001 models have it, 2001.5 and up have plastic.

    Also, do an oil change.

    Complete valve cover job is easier with front end and timing belt off if you want to add that in. Can also consider upgrading the snub motor mount at this point too?! I also did a headlight washer delete(since my RS4 bumper hits the ground and pops off the nozzle and caps all the time). APR bipipe and lighter pulleys are other upgrades you can also consider at this stage while in there.

    It's a 2001.5. I have already taken care of the vavle covers. I think i will do the alternator while im there. Thanks guys.

    What is wrong with lighter pulleys? I've heard some people have bad experiences and others are fine. Mine are ECS tuning ones and my car runs well. I didn't do the pulleys myself...they are from the previous owner.
