well my 3500$ s4 still has one final issue I need to resolve.
I've already fixe the coolant leaks
(heater hose fitting replaced with hose clamp and temp sensor replaced)
and the new oil gaskets are on the way.

but I have 2 issues that are bugging me.
1 is the car is misfiring When flooring it from a low rpm
I'm not getting a cel for anything and I was thinking possible
    ckps?
I also replaced the oil sensor on bottom of oil Pan, but the oil sign keeps
poppin up on my display, even though I'm full on the dipstick.
and one more issue is my temp light also pops up randomly, but the gauge on
the cluster is sitting perfectly at the 1/2 way mark.

    HELP ME PLEASE!

also, does anyone want to trade some 18s for 17s? haha
I'm to low for this big of a wheel!

Kinda sounds like a faulty sensor for the oil pan, I think that sensor does temperature as well as level (I know on some other models it does)

    What kind of 18's?

what style oil pan sensor did you use? I know people were talking about the non-hella ones not working properly. If oyu dont have the Hella Manufactured one that may be your problem, also like somebody5788 asked, does the oil temp work?

Sounds like your coolant temp sensor is going out.
It will cause misfires and show erratic readings on the temp gauge, i.e. the car is overheating but the thermostat is still closed. (I popped a head gasket and a blew a ringland on a 1.8t because the sensor was telling me the car is at normal running temp while in reality it was drastically overheating )

The coolant temp sensor has less than 200 miles on it (i just replaced it with a green top)
the oil sensor is new as well, and the oil temp DOESN'T work.
My coolant temp on the gauge is right where is should be, but the warning pops up on the display still..

there are 2 diffrent kinds of sensors for the pan 00 have to have a certain sensor to read right do a search on that part. as for the coolant light it could be the sensor in the overflow bottle or the wires going to it they are pretty much the most common to be broken. as for the misfire i say check for any boost leaks (diverters if they are still stock and tbb) and from there try plugs and check for cracks in any of the coils.

I don't own an s4 myself, so don't hold me against this, but your misfiring issue may be injector related. I'm having similar issues and its leaning towards the injector on cylindar 3 because I keep getting misfiring codes on that cylinder. My mechanic suggested I try 2 bottles of injector cleaner to see if it clears it up, otherwise, just gonna replace it.

As others pointed out.. Use only the OEM Hella brand oil sensor. It runs around $80. The cheaper Meyle and any other aftermarket will not work right.

OK, I am going to get a refund on my current oil sensor, and I will order the Hella one.
As for the Temp. light, it is the big red on on the indicator screen.
The wires to my coolant bottle have been repaired already, and the plug isn't too secure (the clip is broke off)

the indicator youre seeing is the low coolant?

    second icon second row.

if so then its either that loose connector or wires are damaged further up or down the run from where they were repaired. I wrapped mine with electrical tape and foil tape to keep them from being eaten.

the coolant light is for the coolant level sensor in the coolant tank those can go bad or the wiring can be all jacked up due to the heat.
