No TMPS in Canadian 2009 A4?

I'm ordering a set of winter tires and rims and wanted to get final confirmation that TPMS (wheel sensor type) was not offered on 2009 A4's in Canada. I just read this somewhere recently (another forum) and found it strange because they do come on 2009 A4's in the US.

    Thanks!

B8's in Canada do not come with TPMS from factory. It became a $500 option in MY11 or MY12.
You can enable it with vag-com. Either way, it won't matter because it is based on the ABS system (tire rotation) and doesn't have any additional sensors, so you are fine for sure.

    Much appreciated!

Going to pull the trigger on a set since the prices at this time of the year look decent.

Dealt with Raffy. His price beats SimplyTire and Tires23 by almost $200.

It depends on the ABS module that you have. Most 09's (regardless of US/Canada) don't have the appropriate ABS module to enable TPMS via the ABS system. As stated, 09's in Canada didn't come with wheel mounted TPMS.

Here is more information on the required ABS modules:

I don't mind not having TPMS...saves me $$$ ...the safety benefit is arguable. I had it on a Matrix and it would always throw false errors in the winter.
