Hey all my name is Benjamin. I have been in the Audi scene for about 3 years now with a '98 A4 1.8TQM. Shortly after my purchase of that I fell in love with Audi's but I realized I was already wanting more.

The A4 was great (ok it wasn't it broke all sorts of stuff, and I fixed it and it hold the record for most service I have done to a DD) but I needed more. More power, more room.

Every car I have owned has never stayed stock, they usually get engine goodies, suspension etc. Well I bit my lip and kept the A4 stock rather than dumping money into it that I would never see again. I did this with the intention to own a 2.7 and blow it all on that, like it is some how better.

For about 6 months I have searched for a S4 wagon. Then I got to really looking into Allroad's and as it turns out they are the best of all worlds IMO. S4 drive train, taller gears, adjustable ride height and so on. I was sold, although I don't personally know but I figured the insurance was probably less on the Allroad than the S4. If anyone can confirm this I would like to know.

So that brings me to now.

    Old A4

    The AR

Yes this is the one listed in the classified section.

So I have some work ahead of me but I am super pumped to be rockin a wagon! No definite plans at the moment but i know it will include a 3L.

It looks identical to the one you linked to in the classifieds last week....except the backgrounds, and the one you linked to appears to have clearer headlights?

Yup 6mt, I wouldn't have it any other way. I cannot stand autos. Been driving stick since I have been 7yr old on the farm. Owned 1 auto in a ford ZX2 and refuse to ever deal with that again.

Yeah the headlights are going to need some cleaning up. I'm just the guy for the job. Going to pull them, clear corner them and buff them clean. Will probably plasti dip the chrome trim around the windows and such.

Thank you for the kind words!

Ok I have a few questions if anyone has some good info. I now officially have 3 sets of Audi wheels. I have the 17" snow flakes from my A4, the 17" twin blades shown, and a set of 19" RS6 reps. I'm thinking about parting with two and buying a new set. My question is what is a good off set to be running. I hate seeing every damn boy and their dog order big money sets of wheels and then throw spacers on them! WTF?!?! If you order proper wheels spacers should not be needed and I just don't want to trust them and I am not keen on the idea of the added stress they place on bearings etc that the car was not designed for/ trusting extended lug nuts etc. I drive aggressively and don't want that worry lingering.

Anyone have info on this for AR's or do I need to jack the car up and do measurements of my own? I can I just figured someone might have info.

I am leaning toward 19" or 18" Im not a huge fan of the large diameter wheels (or price for rubber) but for the AR it works really well.

almost positive you need a LOW offset to make it look right. So a 19x9 et 20-25 should do the trick. There is so much room under those fenders.

    edit: friends allroad - 19x9 et20 5x114's - redrilled

^ exactly. There is nothing wrong with spacers. Unless you have wheels custom made for you, it's difficult to get wheels with "perfect" fitment out of the box.

That's about what I was thinking.

I just want to stick some meats under it since there is a boat load of room I might as well take advantage of that when I can.

Anyone want some 19" RS6 reps? Or know what they go for? Have two good tires, one blew out and one has a bubble in the side wall. I don't feel like paying for new rubber on wheels I don't really want.
