I just wanted to let you guys know that Portland Cars & Coffee now has a Facebook group. Join in and join us every Saturday morning from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM behind the Starbucks at 15350 SW Sequoia Parkway.
Hey, great meeting all you guys this morning! Sorry I had to run out early, have people helping me at 10 to clean out a couple storage units and have a roof inspection on my house today. Can't wait to come out again next weekend if the weather is this nice again (albeit chilllllllly).
I've put in my request to join the FB group.
Will be going with a few friends to the new one down at cascade station Starbucks so much closer for me!

I'm going to try to make it to that one at some point. I'm right in the middle of the two locations so it's either/or.... but I like the group I met in Tigard last wknd
For me, I wouldn't really care about driving a ways (particularly in my S5) to meet up with friends and other petrolheads :) I might check out the new one at some point.

Yeah, I am very unhappy with the forecast. As of Tuesday night it was clear until Sunday. Was cranky when I woke up Weds to rain and the forecast had done a 180.
I'm still going to head over if it's not pouring. Light sprinkle wouldn't bother me.
BTW Jeremy - wheels & tires both on their way to Skip's, ETA of Tues/Weds for tires but I don't have tracking yet for the wheels. Will keep you informed.

They can't forecast a day ahead so who knows, it could be sunny and 70deg this weekend!
Rain it sounds like.
Thanks for stopping by the other day LP! You're going to have fun with your new toy.
I would think that carnival entertainers can predict the weather better than the clowns on TV being paid loads of money. /rant off
I had been meaning to stop for a long while, but didn't have the opportunity until the other day. Great looking shop and still mulling over on the exhaust. And yes, I know I'll have fun with my toy :) I'll have it with me tomorrow, rain or shine.

LOL, Barnum and Bailey baby!
Thanks very much!
LMK on the exhaust. They sound sweeet and exotic.
Dude, after hearing my car last Sat how can there be ANY question (no pun intended on your name, lol) that you should get one?!?!
Forecast updated to 30% chance of rain tmrw and only in the afternoon, as per Weather.com. However, at the same time it says the current condition here in LO is "cloudy" while it is pouring pretty hard. Sooooo................
They should put circus monkeys on the news and see what happens. At least it would be more entertaining.
So this goes on every Saturday at BOTH locations? Anyone got a baller ride so I can come along? 8am is quite early but will try to make it someday. Waking up at 5 on weekdays so sleeping in a bit longer helps on weekends
It's more about mulling over which exhaust and how to pay for it. For me, I'm really sensitive to droning sounds. I don't want spend the money on an exhaust system that I will not only hate but physically can't stand.

Let me help Linh.
AWE resonated.
That little plastic card in your wallet.
No drone with their Helmholtz resonators.
It doesn't, but I do when I see the statement ;) Remember, just one Leica lens costs more than an AWE exhaust for the S5 coupé... much less a new M9 body!

I'm not bringing my dog tmrw, so I can take you for a spin in mine. I'll show you how there is only one point in the rev range that has drone, and my system is non-res....so with a res system you won't even have to worry
The sound is sooooo worth it, I fall in love with the car more every day and can't wipe the grin off my face.

Cool and I appreciate it. I've been in two S5's with non-stock exhausts and, in one, I got a really bad headache and a bit nauseous from the drone after about 5 minutes. The other one wasn't as bad, but had a lingering headache after about 10 minutes. My main goal is to be able to hear a bit more of the grunt with the windows up and have a bit more of a bark. Not looking for an all out monster exhaust sound :)
Ha... Apple IIe!

Lol, was wondering if anyone would eventually catch that when I post from my phone. Computer of my childhood, Oregon Trail FTW!
I'll bring aspirin JIC....heh. sounds like you are pretty sensitive to drone so hopefully my exhaust won't be terrible for you. I just love it but I'm not so sensitive to the noise.

What breed of pup do you have Molly?
Which non-res cat-back are you running? DP's too?
PS--two of my oxen just died from dysentery.

Thanks Molly for the ride this morning! I definitely think the Touring exhaust by itself is what I am looking for. The drone at 1800 RPM wasn't anywhere near as bad as the drone on the other S5 exhausts that I've experienced.
After thinking about the tips, I might stick with the regular polished one rather than the diamond black. I'm trying to make my S5 pop rather than blacking it out, so I'll just have to live with keeping the tips clean ;)

Damn, if you can shoot squirrels you are a darn good shot!
My pup will be excited to see your pup at C&C!
Not too shabby actually....if we want to walk about REAL life, the first time I took my 1911 out after buying it (~2004) I had two kill shots on the first target. I still have that target... The place I used to shoot at regularly in PA, the range warden once asked if I was law enforcement. I am good, but not THAT good, so it makes me wonder wtf he sees out of actual LEOs that shot there.
Make sure you let me know ahead of time when you plan to show up and I'll bring her, cause I won't be bringing her every time. She's a bit skittish/neurotic yet loves people at the same time so it's a strange balance of her having fun and being scared. LOOOOOVES other dogs though!
