    GTX3071R shop build teaser...

    Hey guys, this is a build that we've been working on. This car started with an EFR kit but the customer wanted more power so we've moved up to a GTX3071R. The great thing about this setup is the internal wastegate and the ability to move up all the way to the GTX35R. More info later...

    With the 3071 I dont see a lot of space to upgrade to the GTX35.
    Will that entail a different exhaust manifold?
    Which manifold is on there now?

    Yea the EFRs suck. No power at all. Why don't you guys just send it over to me. I'll "dispose" of it...

    He is most likely talking about the GTX3576r which uses the same T04E compressor housing as the GTX3071 and GTX3076r. The GTX3582r uses the larger T04S housing that comes standard on the normal GT35r. Those would most likely hit the valve cover.

    1. We did the internal wastegate because Garrett is using these now. The internal wastegate technology has really advanced and the EFRs also use them.

    2. EFRs aren't necessarily better, they are just a different turbo. Honestly turbo choice all depends on your goals.

    BTW, I think I can crack 11s with this thing. I have some tricks.

    Was this GTX3071 chosen to have internal wastegate because it's easier to just re-use the internal wastegated manifolds already made for the EFR-6758?

    Nevermind, just saw this post.

    The EFR 6758 ues a T25 flange, pretty sure they are using a T3 flange for the GTX setup.

    Which is why the turbo sits so close to the engine, the Garrett is much larger then the small EFR that was on it before.
