Hi guys. I'm starting off from scratch. I'll be getting my phantom black pearl Q5 next week. Can you please recommend a good kit/list of products?

    Thanks.

Phil has some great kits that feature some of the Adam's Polishes stuff. I like it a lot for ease of use, and I think they're great for a beginner.

Thanks. Would you suggest getting a random orbital polisher like the porter cable or can a noob like me damage the paint with that?

I use a porter cable that I bought from Phil. It's really hard to mess up with it. Just don't press too hard. Adam's has good videos on how to use it also.

If you've never polished with a buffer before, DON'T make your first car a brand new Q5. Period. It is much easier than you think to go through clear with it. And you'd generally be doing three rounds with different formulas. Do it by hand or practice on something else...like an '89 Taurus.
