the 275/30 is .5 inches taller than the 295/25, would that have any negative effect on the quattro system?

The sidewall height is a percentage of the tire's width. In this case, 25 vs 30 doesn't necessarily mean they are different heights since the tire diameters are different. You're also allowed a 3% difference in overall rolling diameter. If they were 275/30 and 275/25, that would not be ok.'08 S5 :: Ibis White
