    Only thing that I can think of is the engine is not getting enough fuel at that low engine speed and just stalls. Almost like it is not tuned right.

    i was driving in paris when this aston martin one-77 pulled up next to me. i threw my tip into neutral and started rolling back while revving..just to get him going. guy gives me the nod, so i try to shift into S but i forgot to press down the brake. meanwhile the aston martin gets about a half car length ahead of me..before i slam the brakes, drop it into *S for SPEED* and you could hear my turbo spooling up for miles away...french girls looking at me like ooh la la...and then i hit vtec (bought a vtec chip off ebay, $300!) and pulled on that 700 hp beast...buddy was in my rear view mirror giving me the french equivalent of the finger.......SEE YA
