Good dealers around the city?

I was sure there would be similar posts around here, but I couldn't find any.

I've been waiting to purchase a 2013 S5 and figured it would be good to start looking for a dealer rather than scramble around last minute when orders start opening up, especially since orders for MY2012 have closed.

I live in SF so I am hoping there'd be a good dealer within maybe an hour or so. Seems like I hear horror stories about every dealer, so I don't even know where to start. Any recommendations?

I second Rector, at least for service.

And I have nothing to complain about my dealings with Sonnen in San Rafael (Marin County) when i picked up the avant almost 3 years ago.

However, I also make it pretty obvious up front that I am not some dumbshit that can be taken advantage of......so far batting a 1.000 with that approach.

Rector is good, if you want to travel down to Santa Clara, Stevens Creek is really good and even has a sales person on here as a regular member.

They screwed me bad on service on two occasions where I went in, told them the problem, then they kept my car for 3-5 days to find the problem and finally get a tech from AoA to come out and try to charge me over $1k when I walked in and told them exactly what the problem was I finally drove off with my car refusing to pay them and then they tried to bill me for 3 months before I finally got the SM to drop the billing.

Yeah their service dept has not been the best in past years. I worked there in 04. Granted at the time audis were becoming even more popular and because of that most appointments were scheduled 3 months out. Great sales team though. At least back then.

Another endorsement for Rector.

I've only had one service visit, for scheduled maintenance, and the low speed shudder issue, and their service was first class in all respects.

According to Yelp, Audi Concordi is really good too and I should stay far away from Royal Motor Sales. Any experience with those locations?

Rector is great, best dealership I've been to in the area! Had to deal with a bunch of issues with my S4 a month ago, and it was there for over 2 weeks. The service was awesome and they were extremely reasonable! I was going to order my TTRS from them, but ended up finding it available immediately somewhere else. Definitely go with Rector, best dealership around the city.

Carlsen has been fantastic to me, advisers' been very courteous, kept me informed on the progress, always either answer calls or return calls promptly. I tried Rector, never answered or returned calls, always too busy for me.

ETA for 2013 will be around July-September....up grade front and down from v-8 to v6 3.0 supercharged...same power at the S4....I can't wait to see the new RS5 here!

Yep, you can order the cars, but it want get to the dealership until those month.
