Can anyone tell me which one of the fuses are ignition only? Or am I going to have to get a multimeter!

    Thanks!

Might help if we knew what you were trying to hook up, due to location/proximity of fuses to your equipment. Also, if you don't require 12v it may open up other options.
I recently tapped into my garage door opener fuse (front drivers side panel) to use for the remote turn on input of my new amp, but later learned it doesn't have power with the keyfob in the ACC postion (only the engine on position). NBD though, since I don't sit in my car listening to the stereo with the engine off, but that may not work for you.

These are cheap and work pretty well but I'd just go ahead and invest in a decent DMM, you're likely to need it again in the future.

You can add a fuse right above the homelink fuse, which for me is on the drivers side on the top left a few positions down. That's how I hooked up my radar detector and it's ignition only. Hope that helps.

    Thanks for the replies guys,

Yes its actually for my Rain Sensor retrofit. The fuse holder for Rain Sensor is empty but it needs to be powered by ignition power. Neptune you don't remember how you did this? You said it was a few positions down? I actually have home link so don't want to loose that feature. But it doesn't sound like it would.

I added a fuse to the same carrier as the homelink fuse, directly above it. For me the homelink fuse is third from the top in the leftmost fuse carrier on the drivers side. So I added the wire/fuse to the second position which was empty. You will need to get a wire with a fuse end either from audi or you could make your own from radioshack stuff. The fuse carrier swings out once you release the clip. It has a purple retaining clip in it that you need to disengage before you can insert the new wire.
