I bought one of those dumb chinese vag-com's, and of course it doesn't work. So I guess I'm in the market for a Ross-Tech, anybody selling? I can't afford to buy a new one :/

it does work, i can almost guarantee it. you just cant get it to work. Play around with it, if you have some pc knowlege youll figure it out


no but really, most people have no computer skills and blame the cable...

I'm pretty good with computers...I've tried a whole bunch of things, and it never seems to connect to the car at all. Is this an easy thing and I'm just spastic?

I'm a computer technician, but sadly, with Apples lol. But from what i've messed around with, seems like the issue is getting the right drivers installed and selecting the right COM port from the hardware profiler. Google ebay vagcom and there are a ton of threads on people fussing with this.

Which cable & software are you using? Also, what laptop do you use them with? Might be able to help find a solution.
