Should I be worried?

Update-Hey guys, well a lot has gone down this week with the car, but I pretty much have everything finished.

So the salesman tells me Wednesday night, I will have this wrapped up Thursday morning I promise..the confirmation that they can get the car that is. Thursday rolls around, I don't hear anything out of him, at lunchtime I call in. Receptionist tells me he is off. So the guy couldn't even tell me, hey Nick, I am off tomorrow but I will make sure to have the GM follow up or atleast something. That was the last straw for me, I pulled out, and I am receiving my deposit back this week.

So I started to reach out to some of the dealers I had established dialogues with and start inquiring about Premium Plus w/Sports and 19 inch Ys. I had now decided that since I am back in the game and off the order, I was going to go Sports Package. I get word from one of the dealers that he has a Black on Black Prem + Automatic w/Sports Pack and 19 inch Ys that he can get. We agree to a price and I just got back from the dealership, and gave him 1k to hold, and I have the buyer order from him. Tomorrow all I have to do is finalize the loan with the credit union and I am all set. They are tinting the windows for me tomorrow and it will be available tomorrow night to pick up. I don't know which day I'll be taking it yet, but within the next few days.

Only thing is that it was a demo with 200 miles on it but never titled, so I was able to get a discount on it which is nice. I saw it today for the first time and holy shit, I am in heaven and so pumped. I can't even begin to say how incredible the car looks and w/o the tints! What a difference the Sports Pack makes on the look and I am just so happy that this all played out the way it did and I am getting the SP. Was really a blessing that the order didnt work out because I get it this week as opposed to late March, and I get the SP for cheaper than what I was placed the order for w/o SP. Regardless, what played out with the first dealer is unacceptable.

Awesome, sorry for all the hassles. So, to be clear, the car you are getting is NOT from the original dealer, right?

Also, this is not something that is just an Audi dealership issue. I worked as customer relations manager for two dealerships about 10 years ago that were Chevy/Jeep/Eagle and everything else GM/Mitsubishi. We had these same problems as well sometimes.

Yes Stubek, I am buying the car from a totally different dealership. One of the managers told me today it was the only car in the region with the specs I was looking for, so I am thrilled with the way things turned out :)

Glad to hear, it was smart of you to not stock with the current dealer who was being fishy with you, I have always said that its better to give business to people who want your business and the orugianl dealer did not.sound too thrilled to have yours

That's a good question..I originally was going to lower the car and do the whole coils/spacers deal. However, with the SP I don't think I need to lower it anymore. Some people may want it lower, but I am perfectly happy with the way it looks. Spacers are still something I may do although the salesman told me they are spaced out a bit more with the SP which I wasn't aware of.

I honestly probably wont do too many mods, tints went on today although I don't really consider that a mod. Would probably do LEDs inside, and would like to do VAG COM, but we'll see. Any suggestions?

Congrats Nick. The offset on the y spoke is really weak...spacers will work well. 15/20 will be a nice conservative look.

Check my build thread in my sig for LED interior lights. There is a thread all about it that I link to. It is a very good place to start, but I changed a few to be brighter or dimmer.

Done Deal. Car is mine and sitting in my parking garage right now. So happy with the car, it looks unbelievable. Pics to come :)

It's funny how things work out. If everything would've gone smoothly with the first dealership, then I wouldn't have gotten it until like April and wouldn't have gotten the SP for less money.
