Advice on what product to purchase and detailing

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have a 2001.5 Audi S4 Nogaro Blue with white/cream interior. I want to give my car a detail which would make the paint and interior come back to life.

I have few scratches on the roof of my car and the hood, I was told to wet sand. What is the best method and process to use when wet sanding?

Below are the parts I want to focus on
    Exterior
    *Paint
    *Black piece by the doors
    *Engine bay
    *wheels/tires
    *fenders/brakes
    *Headlights

    Interior
    *White/cream leather seats
    *Black Panels
    *Monster/Winter Mats
    *Carpet

I need to know what products to purchase i.e. steamer, washing mitt, pressure hose, etc and if someone can give helpful tips that would be excellent!

    TIA

1st whats your level on detailing?
    are you just starting detail?
do you know how to wash the car properly?
    prep it properly?
have you used a D/A polisher before?
are you comfortable with a rotary buffer?
    what is your budget?
do you have a indoor garage?
    what tools you have already?
do you have a paint meter?

from the information I gather from you, I recommend these kits. I wouldn't wetsand if I don't have a paint meter and that's $300 + already for a reliable one. A rotary polish can cost $200 +. both these items along with products will cost you close to $1000.

choose 3 yellow uber pads and 2 uber green pads.

I appreciate the help. I see those things are for exterior, what would you recommend for interior? I can exceed 400.00 if needed, If this comes out fine I will do my other vehicles also.

What you recommend using the following items also?

I've been using Poorboy's World trim restorer for several months now, on exterior plastic/rubber and interior plastic/rubber/vinyl items and have been a bit chuffed at the results.

Keeps things very dark for months, and not too pricey to buy.

Autoglym stock an amazing array of products too. This

    and this

on black cars makes it look amazing! Do a clay bar clean first, then try with the polishes, waxes and sealants.

Those kits will put you way over $400. Just 2 uber sponge, 2 grit guards, and two 5 gal buckets is good enough to start
