passat FTW lol. they are two different vehicles, practicality wise the passat will win however the a3 is a very fun car.

I think you're right, I think the B5 has more room behind the rear wheels but the A3 may be just a bit larger up front. A b5 S4 avant would solve all issues....A3 S-Line, DSG
