    b8 S4 vs new IS350 AWD

so I had an 06 is350 for a few years, then switched to an 07 a4 quattro manual. there were goods and bads to both. I think for my next car, Im going with either the new awd is350 or s4. Ive heard the audi awd and subaru awd are the best out there, but are they significantly better than any other awd systems out there such as Lexus?

IF you guys had the choice of either, what would you get (yes I am prepared for biased opinions)?

Unsurprisingly, B8 S4. It's slightly more expensive but it's a well built car. Look up how the two AWD systems work and you'll see why Quattro is better than Lexus AWD in most real-world driving conditions. IMHO the new IS350 is a tad overpriced. You should test drive both and see which one you like better.

Most threads like this are at least fun to contemplate but this one is seriously a no-brainer.

I can't think of a single thing about the IS350 AWD that's better than the B8 S4. Exterior? Nope. Interior? Nope. Drivetrain? Nope. Engine? Nope. Transmission? Nope. Ergonomics? Quality? Seats? Nope, nope, and nope.

Maybe reliability and I suppose price too.

I actually prefer the interior of the Lexus over the Audi, but I know many people would disagree. Those thugs you stated above are mostly right, but reliability is a More important factor to me than seats, ergonomics and the such. But the S4 does kick butt in the other stuff

Actually, I'm not a huge fan of how the B8 interior looks either, the IS350 is just too typical Japanese for me though so I gave the nod to the S4 because the quality of materials is better. Another thing to note, the back seats on the IS are really tight so if your driving around anyone over 5' tall, you may be getting some complaints from the rear.

I was being pretty nice with the reliability one too. Once you're past the waterpump problem, they're probably about equal.

Why not G37x or 335xi? Both are arguably the better Japanese and German counterparts respectively.

Styling wise the 335xi looks the best of the 4 ad the G37x looks the worst. That's why I don't want the infinity. I'd rather trust theaudi reliability than the BMW as well

I don't know how well I can compare a G35 to a G37, but I have my father G35 awd... Sure the engine is strong. But overall it's an ugly car. The pleasure of driving is just not there, it's too big and you don't get feedback from the road, everything is been numbed.
The Lexus is a nice car to look at, but im still way more incline in German cars.
I shotgun rode in a last gen 335i and it's a quick car!!

I have yet to drive the B8, it would be either that 335xi or B8 for me.
