Yes I know everyone here is all about JHM and their tunes... I'll be putting this tune to the test vs a jhm car tomorrow.
I would be very interested in seeing this test your running, assuming that it's using the same supporting mods on both sides. Are you just doing a dyno or a 1/4 as well?
I am a performance tuner myself... I tune pretty much anything under the GM line and some Fords and now a few Dodges are available for me to tune. I can tell the car has opened up alot. Throttle response is improved, along with top end and mid range power and torque. Will it make the most power... who knows. But its what I watned. And came recommended to me by 2 GIAC tuners.

What tuning software do you use? EFI Live or HP Tuners? Also why not get your hands on a license for whatever tuning software you need and write your own tune for the Audi?

I have efi live and hptuners actually... I use hptuners a bit more as of late... and honestly I figured I would leave this car to more EURO experienced hands... lol I'm sure I could do it but I don't want to have to buy yet another tuning software.

If you do gen2 GM small blocks as well as gen3, 4 small blocks shoot me a PM. I know some people in NC area that might be willing to pay for some live tunes. Mostly LQ4's and LS1's

I'm surpised people haven't asked to see logs on the AFTER dyno..... and also post up the Before dyno sheet so we can see correction factors.
I'm guessing at this point people are like "Whatever... Let him have his fun and enjoy his less than optimal tune. The numbers speak for themselves and he's not suddenly going to turn the Audi B6/7 world on its head..."
Personally, I don't really care which tune he has as it's not my car. If he wants to race against a JHM tuned car, great, but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it and even if it happens, I can already see the excuses. In the end, it's all been seen before.
He's happy with his purchase, ignorance is bliss, yada yada yada :)
Plus it's not like JHM is the only tuner that can tune V8 S4. Even if they make the best tune is also comes at a cost for some people.
Some like me like having there tuner close and might not want to have to remove the ECU and sent it out across the country.
I have an APR dealer 30mins from me and a Unitronics about 45 mins. No disrespect to JHM. If I lived in California it would be a different picture for me.

JHM seems to be the only tuner that can get real power out of these cars. There are lots of companys that can tune them.
Guys so you know talk of racing epically on the street constitutes as chatterbox as you will see all posts as such are. So if you don't want this post moved you might want to start a new post in the chatter box or keep this on topic.
If you don't have haters, then you're not kicking enough ass.

And lastly for the grammar police that are bound to step in
I came here from Germany in the 6th grade. I could not read or write a lick of English. I am working to get better. Thanks and sorry. I always try to edit my posts for the best grammar and easiest reading.
Soo... full bolt on JHM tune, intake manifold, intake manifold spacers, Trex turk catless downpipes, AWE exhaust, intake, light weight flywheel, clutch, lightweight crank pulley..... 299awhp 302awtq 4th gear pulls.
ME: Evo MS Intake, Custom Borla exhaust and unitronics stage 2... 284 and 282 4th gear and 292 and 290 3rd gear... which vs. my stock 3rd gear pulls which was 264 and 253. AND remember still on full OEM downpipes.
SOOO you guys can say all you want my car did exactly what I wanted... :) I'm happy!
UNITRONIC FTW! BTW he left from what I heard a quite unhappy person... car is nice sounded great and a very nice guy! But I'll keep my $5k I saved and use it for something else.

Best picture I have right now... National Speed is going to overlay this with the stock one so I can see where power was gained. I love how everyone is soo eager to bad mouth another product other than JHM they make good stuff... I never said a bad thing about them. And the owner of that car is on this site as well. I hope he speaks up.

Hmm...I was at 291 4th gear without a tune, only dps and catback. 270 completely stock (vs. your 282 with a tune)....
In any case, dynos never mean all that much as they're tough to compare. Good job though. It's good that you're enjoying your puchase.

Agree

This car was stock at 264 so for me it's a 20whp increase... and 30 wtq... it's good enough prolly another few hp and tq in there with the catless d/ps that are going on next week.

This.
And as a PSA, dyno racing is absolutely pointless. Take it to a track (or equivalent) and actually run the cars. "Your car makes xxx awhp but mine makes xxx+1 awhp" doesn't prove much.
As long as YOU are enjoying the tune OP, that's all that matters...who cares what other people say about it.
B7 S4 034 Tranny Mount • Apikol Snub • DBA 4000 • Fast Intentions • Hawk HPS • JHM SS • Trexturk 2.5" Catless • Vag'd
Who the hell is that on here that has a JHM IM but no 2.5" catback? Talk about chopping the car at it's knees. It's down a good 25hp from the lack of a proper exhaust. beemercer's car did 327/299 on a tune from 2 years ago.
Ok so I agree I was hoping for mid to low 300's but the car fucking moves and I launch assist lol im going to the track in two weeks in jacksonville nc if he wants to see were the diffrwnce really if
I think you could put down better numbers than beem. Of course it could just end up being a variation in the dyno but I would guess you can do 333/308........that's my guestimate with your mods.
Only other thing that is hurting you are those massive rotiform's
prime example: JHM full bolt on made 337awhp and the infamous ngng made 402awhp (if my memory serves me correct on those figures)...jhm car still dominated despite being n/a with a large difference of "power". bottom line? track or road test it, dynos can be manipulated very easily
