He's still around? You oughtta read a couple of his books, ' Visions " is a good start. And a couple other sort of overlap the subject matter, but dwell more on physics and how we understand it. I've been reading his books since high school (early 90's - does that date me?) and when you read about his childhood it'll blow your mind. I think he built a particle accelerator in his back yard when he was a kid. Like seriously~ the kind that would black out the neighborhood.
I'd say he's a smart guy, but that doesn't even touch it.
