    Stock s4 vs JHM tuned s4 video?

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Been searching for a video like this to compare just how good the jhm tune is..... I hear great things about it but no really good videos of some pulls between the two. Just want to see how much the tuned car pulls away from the stock car if that even happens at all.

    Anyone have one? or willing to make one?

    Thinking about getting the tune for my s5 just want to see how much its really worth it. I know people are goin to say night and day difference and that this has been covered a million times but i still have not found the exact video to prove this. I have also seen some dyno graphs of before and after tune that didnt look so great. And i have read up on the 1/4 mile times also.

    found this video and it shows some impressive gains on a 3.0 v6 a4. Cant believe there isnt one of the 4.2 v8 since this is what jhm does all day.

    Here's me vs saki. He did wait 3 secs off the line to film me in the right lane but the slip times speak for themselves. Same day, same track, same weather, same run. Can't get much more head to head than that.

    me/Stock B6 S4 - 13.8 @ 102
    JHM B7 S4 - 13.07 @ 107.8 (he ran a 12.99 later that day)

    The JHM car had the tune, 2.5" catless DPs, FI exhaust, LW crank pulley, LW rotors. And before anyone says "Avant", I don't think it really matters at these HP levels in these cars, Audi ran a 13.8 in a sedan.

    We didn't film it but the "arm drop" runs we had showed a 4-5 bus length advantage for the tuned car.

    And here's the timeslip (the left one), the date/time thing was broken that day:

    9532 = JHM car / 9506 = stock

    The in car camera was someone else, but shifting at 65-6600 rpm seemed to do the trick with a 3krpm-ish launch.

    I know there is another one with a JHM car racing a giac car with the same mods off a roll and he beats him by like 4 cars.

    Not sure what you mean, those are just raw times as produced by the timing equipment at the track. TMP is 650 ft elevation if that helps you.

    What difference does elevation make in this thread anyway? The point was to compare JHM vs stock. Doesn't get more standardized for other variables than this.

    And don't forget it was in Canada so needs correction for metric.

    Just curious. I know that the JHM one is still faster. :-)
