No car is worth much the first 7-10 years after its made.....I bet in 15-20 years the RS6, M5, E55 and S-Type R will be pretty rare cars.
Even though they make faster cars these days, in my eyes those 4 cars will always be the most badass sedans ever...
You're comparing an Audi to a Ferrari? Your also comparing a $200,000 sports car to a $80,000 sedan. That's funny.
Yes they will be rarer, but since we are discussing rarity refer to these other Audi models (all much rarer than the RS6).
The 1990-1994 Audi V8 was made in very small numbers and you can pick those up for scrap value all day long MSRP in 1992 54,000 ($83,000 in todays dollars), blue book now $4500.
The 1991 200 20v? Less than 900 made it's worth more in parts. 45,000 MSRP in 1991 ($71,000 in todays dollars). retail value now, ~3000
The 1990-1991 Audi coupe quattro, very few of these were made and you can pick them up for less than a grand.
The C4 S4/S6 cars are also getting to a point where the engine is worth more than the vehicle.
The list goes on....
Face it guys the chances of any production Audi made in the past 20 years being worth Hemi cuda money is non existent. Too many were made, and they aren't a desirable collectors item.
The only Audi's I can possibly see appreciating in value over the next 20 years are the sport quattro or pristine examples of the quattro and those cars have some racing heritage with Group B
