Welcome to the official -GARDEN STATE EUROS- club discussion thread for our weekly northern New Jersey Tri-State meet for all European car owners!
CLUB HISTORY
Our club was formerly known as Tri-Dubbin’ which originally started as a New Jersey Volkswagen based club but soon evolved into a full European car club with Audi, BMW, Mini Cooper, Porsche, Volkswagen and other cars from all over the Northeast. Based on the overwhelming response at our weekly meets and at our Annual DubRun event, we felt the need to update our club name to encompass all European cars and owners. The club name has officially changed from Tri-Dubbin’ to Garden State Euros or “The GSE”. Garden State Euros will serve as an on-going weekly northern New Jersey Tri-State meet for all European car owners. Garden State Euros began in New Jersey where we continue to meet weekly year round with a large attendance from New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania members.
The original Tri-Dubbin’ club name, apparel and swag will continue to serve as the Volkswagen sub-group within Garden State Euros. We don’t want to forget where we came from and how the club originally started.
WEEKLY MEETS
PM me for the latest meet location, we are accepting only European cars on an invite only basis at this time. Officially, our weekly meets start the first week of Spring and will continue on Wednesday nights between 6:00pm - 10:00pm through the fall. The largest volume of cars show around 7:00pm. We received approval to meet here on a weekly basis with the guarantee that we would not abuse these privileges. We are in contact with the police and will call them at anytime to remove unwanted participants. Our meet is simple, pull up, park and hang out then cruise out of this parking lot. We promised our meet location and the town that we would not leave our garbage, blast music, drive fast through the parking lot or use our cars in an unsafe manner. If you can't deal, don't come. We absolutely do not tolerate burnouts, donuts, racing or immature drivers.
WEATHER RULE
If it's not raining in the area at 5:30pm we're on at 6:00pm.
This gives everyone time to prepare or travel to the meet location.

We currently have club t-shirts and stickers for sale to all members who attend the weekly meet.

Our club reserves the right to refund dues and revoke or refuse GSE official member status for anyone who represents our club in a negative way.
Our weekly club meets and cruises are absolutely free to those who want to hang out and enjoy the European car scene. If you’ve never been out to the weekly club meets before, please attend several meets so our established members can get to know you. Before joining the club, we want to make sure we meet your expectations and also make sure that you will represent the club in a positive way. We’ve worked very hard to get to where we are today and are looking for members who want to contribute and represent our club in a positive way.
Why pay club dues then? The $50 annual club dues are not required but are designed to benefit the club member, the club overall and provide a donation to -Team EuroTrash’s Drive 2 Fight Cancer- charity. $25 will immediately go towards -Team EuroTrash’s Drive 2 Fight Cancer- charity while the remaining $25 will go back to the club for membership benefits and to help cover costs such as the annual DubRun event. You will also receive a Team EuroTrash’s Drive 2 Fight Cancer t-shirt, 6” round car magnet for shows and a sticker pack in the mail. As an added benefit, you will also be entered into a -Team EuroTrash- raffle contest drawing at the end of the year.
OFFICIAL CLUB MEMBER BENEFITS
-Member contributions would go towards Team EuroTrash’s Drive 2 Fight Cancer charity
-Member contributions would go towards the club’s annual DubRun event (t-shirt order & insurance costs)
-Member contributions would go towards possibly offsetting other club member out-of-pocket expenses

ADVERTISING
Advertisement is vital to growing our club. Whether we post in the Tri-State section of the forums, PM individual members, add this thread link to our signatures, pass out our club flyers (see download link below) to people or leave them on cars, it all helps to generate new members. The more members we have, the more contacts we have for our club knowledge base, business leads, ideas, events and possible sponsors. In order to help our club grow, please participate in any of the following ways:

NATIONAL AUTO SPORT ASSOCIATION HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING EVENT

In the past, the original club organizers were only a handful of club members managing all of the club business and logistics. As we continue to evolve and expand we will need the assistance of organized, proactive club members to handle different aspects of the club. We have opened up initial roles for official club members to take ownership of. There will be monthly or bi-monthly leadership meetings (basically a happy hour and dinner) for those that sign up for the roles below. Role: Collection of club membership dues, tracking all payments received from club member dues and sponsors, track all expenditures, provide tracking file on demand for any official club member request (dues fully paid).

Role: Create club logos and designs for online content management, provide file requirements for t-shirt and sticker orders.
Photographer / Videographer – Leandro (Gordenvr6); Multiple Openings
Role: Photograph or video the weekly meets, events and cruises, post pictures or edit videos for the club to see, assist in the official club video production.
Group Buys, Club Clothing & Stickers – Open
Role: Oversee group buys, collect payments and specific order requests (t-shirt sizes, names, etc.), place orders with vendors, order club stickers for weekly meets.
Marketing – Open
Role: Improve advertisement channels to grow club, scan and post in the Tri-State sections of each forum listed above when people are looking for a local meet, PM individual members who show their locations in the Tri-State area to invite them to our weekly meet, contact current club members to add this thread link to their signatures, print and provide our existing club flyers to everyone at our weekly meet (see download link below), provide extra flyers for people to store in their cars and put on new European vehicles in the area, leave flyers at local dealerships, vendors and stores for customers to take. -Garden State Euros Advertisement Flyer-

DubRun – Rob (Silly-Rabbit); Multiple Openings
Role: Manage logistics for initial morning meet, cruise route and final cruise destination, organize car show at final cruise destination, acquire event insurance quotes and work with club treasurer for payment, organize DubRun t-shirts to sell at the event, organize discounted rates for food and hotels, general setup and cleanup, print and provide event flyers to everyone at our weekly meet, provide extra flyers for people to store in their cars and put on new European vehicles in the area, leave flyers at local dealerships, vendors and stores for customers to take.
Sponsor & Vendor Relations – Ryan (HYDE16); Additional Openings Available
Role: Proactively reach out to existing sponsors and new vendors to negotiate guaranteed club discounts for official club members, maintain running list of official club members for access to guaranteed club discounts, invite sponsors to attend the weekly meets to meet our members and discuss transactions in person.
Other – Open
Role: Anything outside of the major roles above, any additional help is welcomed if you can think of other ways to help.
We will take quarterly orders for club t-shirts and hoodies. Payments, sizes and other info must be received by the beginning of the 3rd month in each quarter for when we place orders. Please see the schedule below:

CLUB DYNO DAY AT AUTO SPEED

Guys, this Dyno Day event at Auto Speed in Vorhees, NJ is fast approaching.
This is the perfect opportunity as a club to cruise down for a day of getting our cars finally dyno'd together at a group discount rate.
If we hit 12 cars the charge is only $100 per car which is good for 3 pulls measuring wheel Tq/Hp and Air Fuel Ratio’s with pizza and refreshments! The charts are normalized, meaning car warmed up and all 3 runs should repeat nicely given our fan setup. Food will also be served to girl friends, spouses, kids…etc. so a good time can be had by all. Auto Speed is located across the street from a mall which does have a food court, so for the people that don’t want the pizza, they have the option of going there. The Audi Club of North America will be there as well that day.
First, we need to come up with a list of at least 12 people (list started below).
Then contact Auto Speed (856.772.9500), tell them you are attending with Garden State Euros, then pay in advance with a credit/debit card to secure your spot.
-The $100 per car is based on 12 or more GSE club members actually paying in advance so get on the list and make payment asap so we're not scrambling for 12 guaranteed members last minute.
