OEM rubber turbo inlet boots do the job OK on a stock application, but are prone to problems once boost is turned up and performance increased.
Due to the lack of reinforcement, it's common to see the stock hose collapse under vacuum created by the turbo's suction. The OEM rubber hose is also a common area to see cracks and leaks with age, which can throw off MAF readings.
Since the 034 hose is not corrugated, and maintains a larger inside diameter than the stock hose, it flows much smoother and flows more air than the OEM hose, and its a direct fit to boot.

I understand that the silicon doesn't collapse like rubber, but is there some numbers or video to prove that it's 75$ of added performance?
And at what stage i will start to see an advantage?

I don't have any dyno numbers, but it is the same old concept that has been proven as the 1.8T hoses. http://forgemotorsport.com/content.a...duct=FMGOLFIND, dyno sheets toward the bottom showed a 12whp gain. Granted the MK4 1.8T hose is larger, but even half that for $75 is worth it IMO.
I've been rockin' this for a while now, it's a superior product to the OEM rubber piece. Put the performance formula aside and just look at it as a quality upgrade for a piece of mind. The instal is easy and the price vs value is spot on, just my $0.02.
What size is the TIP at the turbo end? I need it to fit my TD05-18g which had an OD of 57mm I believe...
Is it the same as the one on the 034 site for $195
