I was planning on staying in downtown SLC for a couple days and going to Snowbird and/or Brighton then maybe moving to another hotel closer to Park City and hitting up PCR and Canyons, would it even be worth the move?
depends on what you're in for - there's a reason i live up here, mostly because SLC is a shit hole :P
i kid. there's a ton to do in either spot depending on your budget - i'll speak to PC since i live up here, though. Overall, worth the trip up.
Musts:
* High West Distillery - best rye blends pretty much ever
* O'Shucks/No Name slum crawl - these two bars go off pretty much every night. over presidents day for sure.
* The Spur - #1 Cougar Bar in the country as rated by... well, my friends that picked up 45-year olds on vacation that flew them to Chicago this week for FFest 2012. True story.
* Olympic Park - bobsled ride. abso-fucking-lutely terrifying.
* Corner Bar - PCMR. it's your PBR in a can crowd, but it's pretty much just pregame for main street later
* if you haz monie: Talisker on Main. fantastic american or Wahso (also on main) it's asian fusion, but more like a steakhouse heavy asian fusion.
* best brunch: zoom on Sunday
* best lunch: cobradogs at PCMR
* best under $10 lunch: backdoor deli off heber ave and swede alley
* best place to meet a hooker: the downstairs. it's because hyde from that 70's show owns it and thinks that it's cool. but it actually kind of is, but you want to hate it.
that's all i got.
