Cheers for the compliments guys! I must admit I really love the wheels too, since I first saw them as a prototype from photos at SEMA I knew I had to have them and to make them even more unique I had them painted with a saturn finish. They get a lot of compliments and really set the car apart I think.

Very true, I don't know if there are many other colours that I like for the B8 platform. The dark gray is nice though :D I see that you are still waiting for your exhaust from AWE.. I think mine took a total of around 13 weeks?! It's worth it though I can assure you.
For all you Americans out there, I also had an unused 034 Motorsport HFC with the necessary piping and bolts etc.. My mechanic advised me that there isn't much point fabricating this for the RHD vehicle and our steering column rack is in the way. I will be happy to let it go for $200 plus shipping if anyone is keen?

He's right Joe, the car is on coilovers and that is as low as I can get at the front without scraping driveways etc which is what I did previously to my bumper bar. I think it's the illusion of the wheels, or tire size that may have something to do with it as the rear is slightly stretched 255/30/20F x 275/30/20R? I was thinking of swapping the rears for 285/25 to fill out the guards a bit more but it's the fronts that really bug me. What is the widest tire someone has fit on the front with the Vossen wheels?
As for the window tinting, in Australia we are only legally allowed to tint at 35%
Very clean. Where'd you get your rear black rings from or did you paint your OEMs? Been looking at the ones from Parts4Euro, but have heard that they are smaller than the OEM.

I purchased both from Parts4Euro, the front fitted fine without any problems whereas the rear is probably around 1cm in width and height smaller. It isn't really noticeable though. I can provide you more photos if need be?
Are your mirror caps painted or did you swap them for the S5 ones? At any rate you should list them in your mods list!
Car looks amazing, very clean!
Had them painted and installed, but in hindsight now the exercise cost only a tiny bit less than the replacements which I like much more - I wanted them to match my wheel colour, only now I need to get a saturn finish applied as they are gloss. Since owning the CV-1's I've had them painted twice and have settled on this colour so will get around to it one of these days!

Haha, yes the ghetto backgrounds do seem quite a common theme among photographers these days. Although as voters would have it, Melbourne is one of the worlds most livable cities.. That being said, I'm not so sure what it actually means, perhaps it's a geographical ghetto ratio of inhabitable areas per capital making Melbourne more tolerable. Whilst on the topic of Melbourne, it saddens me as there are literally 2 heavily modified a5/s5's here in Melbourne and my friend owns the other which he just sold. The tuning community for the B8 platform is lacking out here and in terms of age demographic most people that drive these cars are around 45-65 mark.

WoW.....13 weeks??? I just spoke to Mike from AWE today and he said he'll contact me pretty soon....they told me 5 and half weeks.....I ordered it on New Years eve.....so I have about 3 more weeks to go...but hopefully they'll contact me earlier.....

very tasteful. if i had the time to really mod my A5 id do something along these lines. the only thing i can possibly see adding in the future is a sline style rear valance and/or dual exhausts + blacked out window trim

Is that a stock rear valence? Looks black in the one shot, mine's sort of a dark grey, but the black looks pretty slick. Got any straight on shots of it? Would like to put a black dual outlet valence on when I get a new exhaust hopefully this spring.

Yes this is the stock rear valance on the Australian non s-line A5.
Beautiful machine! Why have you been trying to sell it the last couple of months? What ya going to replace it with?

Just basically over it and want a different driving experience. Don't get me wrong, this car probably hands down has received the most compliments of any car I've ever modified or owned and it's definitely unique but now I want something really powerful (350+rwkw).
Just a brief update as I wanted to share my most recent experience with you all as recently the A5 seems to be having a bit of trouble bogging down throughout the rev range and just not as powerful as it once was accordingly to the "bum dyno".
After a brief conversation with Andrew at DNA Performance, I wanted to have the vehicle dyno'd and a diagnostic just to see how everything was behaving and ease my concerns around the sudden decrease in power. Yesterday I managed to finally get down to their facility in Knox which I'd wanted to do for some time to meet Andrew and the rest of the team. Initial perception was very suited to my liking and expectation of a workshop, very clean and nicely planned out with great facilities, accompanied by courteous and friendly service staff willing to have a chat and make proper coffee which is an added bonus!
The vehicle was then connected to the VAGCOM and had a few brief dyno pulls which showed the following codes:

As I had previously suspected, it appeared that my vehicle could potentially be suffering from the known diverter valve diaphragm rupture which I had previously researched. The dyno results that followed also confirmed this, with the vehicle only making 140kw @ the wheels, and as Andrew explained from the logged results during the run it appeared that the requested boost was not matching, nor did the timing advances/retardation seemed normal with a tuned vehicle.
I have since ordered the updated "D" version of the OEM component (P/N#06H145710D) which has a modified diaphragm design, stronger springing mechanism and stronger material used for the seal whilst retaining that OEM look rathern than upgrading to a Forge component for any warranty* issues.
Part has now been shipped and on it’s way here, once I receive it I intend on doing the installation myself and will then head back for another run on the dyno.
Will keep you all posted!
* In hindsight I should have engaged Audi as I’m sure this would have been covered under my vehicle warranty but I didn’t consider this until after I raced out to order the part.
