    A3 Big Brake Conversion

I have heard that you can take the Porch Cayenne calipers and rotors and bolt them right on to an A3. Is this true? Has anyone done it, or know what they would roughly cost to do this swap? Thanks

Search for a thread called toureg brake calipers or something.

Not sure if it will work with the A3, but on the A4, you can put the toureg sport (6 pot) calipers on and they are the same as Porsche, but much much cheaper.

    will work.

    need gl500 rotors
need new bolts and sleeves to fit caliper to spindle
need hubcentric rings to hold the rotors center to the hub

HERE is better thread for A3

I was I think the second to run that setup for about a year.. I didnt like it everything new costed me about 1500 but all the parts are so big and heavy is felt like I was killing my car and axles i had it on a 2.0 fwd six speed on pss10's it made the car no longer fun to drive up and down the canyon any time I would have to stomp my brakes the back end of the car slide out instantly and my master brake booster has never been the same :( so if your looking for an all show application its fine just don't think its gonna help around the track. my 2cents

Why not just get a BBK from StopTech @Achtuning? Best of both worlds - better stopping and great looks.

I completely agree, except we recommend purchasing it from us. :)

I have this same kit on my MK 5 GTi and it was well worth the cost. The braking ability and brake balance are just right. I can confidently brake now and not worry about brake fade, and increased stopping distances.

OP, if you are interested in a kit shoot me a PM.
