Was with Sharebuilder when I was younger (17-20) just to build up in shares a little at a time. Then moved over to E-Trade when the market went to shit in sep/oct 08. Took a gamble and borrowed $6k from my dad and poured it all into Wachovia stock at .98 and then sold it on Oct 28th for $7.13 when they were bought out by Wells Fargo. That was my first ever real trade, with BIG profits. So after that I traded in Citi, Ford, AIG, and some other giants until they started to rise and sustain. After all that, I walked away with around $750K after I put some $$ aside for taxes. Then the next BIG gulp was SPNG, a company that fucking made sponges with soap already impregnated in it. I bought around 6 1/2 million shares for .0031 or 2 i believe it was. Then after a few months of waiting I almost sold it all at around .005 but then I started to hear about it on the radio and saw it at the MLB games, and was shocked. The next 2 weeks I SHIT YOU NOT, was a PUMP and DUMP. It went from .0055 on a Monday to .28-9 by the next Friday at 1PM. I remember this so clearly because I took a nap at work that Friday afternoon around that time, and woke up to find a SHIT LOAD (I'll let you do the math) of money in my portfolio. My sell trigger was set at .24, but the stock has plummeted to .10. Basically, the company's biggest investors just kept pumping all the way up to .30 and just dumped it all which activated everyones sell orders. I haven't been to active since, but still hold some longs and IRA's. I thought about jumping into Currency and Commodities, but never had the time. Overall, I made a pretty good fortune, but also lost around $100k along the way, just by jumping on a bandwagon going downhill. I currently hold longs that I bought at their lowest point or close to it, but took about 1/2 of my gains out for personal/investment purposes. Here are my longs:
CBAI
AMD
HYGS
INAP
MGPI
AAPL
and my favorite for dividens MO
I might start swing trading again, so post up any symbols you might think are worth while to look at.
