I let her drive it sometimes, but shes not a downshifter (nuetral coast). Plus she doesnt streeeech out the gears like I do. Nevertheless a girl that can drive a stick is alright by me!!!
I drive my audi about 2 times a month. Its the nicest and safest car we have so whoever is taking care of the little one gets to drive it...well shes been on maternity leave for the last 2 months so i get to drive a sick kia spectra. I might as well just give her the audi and buy myself a newer one haha
My wife actually prefers the stick... She is highly aggressive and yet extremely alert and careful driver.... I actually LIKE her taking the faster more expensive cars that way I when we drive both somewhere I get to see it roll....

My girl drove mine once when it was Auto. Otherwise, she couldn't push the clutch down in my Cobra because it was too hard, and she can't get the Audi not to stall because of the lwfw and puck clutch.
I don't mind if she drove it, but she just doesn't want to.
My wife drives my A6 once in awhile... we'll switch vehicles. Unfortunately she isn't afraid of it like she was my Jetta. She didn't like how low it sat and everything.
Yet she is fine to tromp around in the V8 A6- WTF?

My wife loves to drive the allroad (we split it 50-50 but I usually drive if we go together) but she has a 6-sp GTI that she's had from before we met and loves to drive my Corrado on nice days. We both prefer a manual but the Tip in the allroad is so nice in nasty traffic.
I feel much better letting my wife drive mine now that it is not dumped. However when I met her she owned a lowered on H&R Springs VW Jetta 5psd... So she can definately drive herself a stick!

i let the wifey drive the ar sometimes. funny how she says that her 4 banger honda is more gutsy than quadzilla
have yet to teach her how to drive a 5 speed, finding a loaner car is difficult

My wife drives mine on rare occasions. Not because I don't want her to, but because she prefers an SUV (07 Explorer AWD). I put wheels, tint and system in it for her and she's happy. before this I had a modded BMW 5 series Touring 5 spd. She hated driving it because she doesn't like to have to be careful over bumps and gets tired of the stick. Drives a stick well, but spoiled by the auto. I prefer manual, but got such a good deal on this one I'll deal with TIP and I still have my 633 CS for the manual fun

My wife drives my A4 all the time...we take turns driving the Dodge Ram and the A4. I taught her how to drive on my old lowered BMW 5 speed when we were stationed in Germany. She actually picked the A4 up from the dealership in Germany while I was in Sergeants school (WLC) for a month. I was jealous since she drove the car before me. I miss the autobahn!!!

My wife used to LOVE the 5.0 Stang with 5 speed as she would rip it up all the time.
She doesn't like driving the RS6: "Too fast! Too many buttons! Too much this! Too much that! Too low!"
She likes to ride as a passenger but that is it.
My gf has driven the G37 and A4 both stick. She's a good driver but I prefer her driving on long trips and not in the city.
She owns a 330XI 6MT as well.
My wife has about as much fuel in her veins as coffee. She's had all kinds of cars over the years but now we just have the herd of VW's and the A6. She won't touch an automatic unless she has to. Sometimes keeping up with her on mountain runs can be a handful. My only advantage over her comes on the motorcycles (we have the exact same bikes), where I have 20+ years of riding and she's up to about 7. She just recently bumped up to the bike I have since I kept catching her steeling my bike when I didn't take it to work. So now she has an FJR1300 of her own.
I got really lucky when I found her. How many of you are lucky enough to come home and find your wife getting greasy in the garage doing an oil change or a brake job? I don't know what I did right in my life, but I'm know better than to keep trying to figure it out, lol.
We do have his and hers, but she can drive them all. Hell, her salary bought them all. When we were looking for the S5, I wanted a 6 speed, she wanted Tipronic, which is bullshit. It may have been a few years, but she learned to drive stick in one of these.
I even told her that we could get her a $500 beater to practice on. She could destroy that clutch, and not worry about wrecking an S5 clutch.

my wife has only ever had MT cars... put her in it she can drive it.
I have taught her to dance around potholes, hit inclines at angles, and park in the back of parking lots on the high side if there is a slope...
It worried me at first, but now no worries when she goes for the keys. I'm proud to say the 19s on the allroad made it through a summer of DD for both of us with out a single blemish.

I actually gave manual transmission lessons to one of my female friends, in my car. It has one of the easiest-to-use, most forgiving clutches I've ever experienced, and the transmission needs to be rebuilt anyway, so... Why not? I also wouldn't hesitate to let a female friend/girlfriend/spouse drive my car, as long as she can use a clutch and follows my treatment guidelines (stay below 3K RPM and no hard accel. below 175˚ oil temp., cool oil to below 200˚ before shutoff, etc.). Hell, if she's been through a high performance driving school, I'd even let her drive it spiritedly (to a point). Sadly, I don't think anyone in my life meets that description. LOL.
That said, I have a male friend in a NASCAR feeder series who I let drive my car (spiritedly) frequently. So that may make me different than most Audi owners.
