Is getting the body molding painted an option you can order or something that the owner did at his own expense?
Also, the allroad the OP posted is based off the B8 A4 Avant (so it appears) while our allraod we are getting is based off the A6.
Not sure if it is an option or not, but I´m actually doubting it since I almost never see fully painted allroads.
I think this one was special ordered this way, the color was special ordered...that I know.
It got a special Misanored color, same as the RS5 I think, and got the arches painted all the way.
I believe this is the only Misanored Allroad in the world.
We'll be able to order the fenders/lowers body colored. It'll be an option.
Which, in my opinion, highlights how frustrating it is that we won't be getting any new Avants in the US. We can buy an Allroad, and have the factory paint it (I am sure for a nice premium) to not look like an Allroad, but look more like a regular Avant.
I wonder if this is actually a Avant and the owner ordered this kit? It doesn't have the same front grill, headlights or taillight as the 2012 Allroad. See link http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2012-...#photo-4678287
Who says it's a 2012? The B8 allroad has been out in Europe for quite some time (I'd guess since 2009). Hence, it's pre-facelift. On top of that, anybody who pays $6300+ for fender flares, bumpers and a grill deserves to have his legs broke.
It's definitely an allroad - there's no reason to believe that it's not.

I'm not saying its not an Allroad.. I know it is because of the roof rails. The A4 rails are flush. I was just pointing out that there was a kit if your crazy enough to buy it.
I didn't know that as I am not that familiar with the Allroad. I still like either way. I'd buy the kit if it was cheaper, I like how it brings out the fender and the side skirt or whatever it's called.
And btw, it is for sale...atleast it was some months ago.
Our currency The Norwegian Krone is quite (with some extra exclamation marks) strong these days, soooo...it would cost you about 100.000USD. haha
Here in the US I would imagine I'd be able to buy a new Allroad fully loaded + suspension upgrades + custom built rims with room for performance upgrade for that price tag.
I guess you´d be able to take 40-50% of that price, if we had no taxes.
A new standard A8 3,0 v6 tfsi would cost 200.000USD here, and between 80-90.000USD is taxes!
The price for cars in USA is jaw dropping for us. haha!
I'm surprised you haven't tried breaking the legs of all the B5 guys that do RS4 conversions.
Lol. That's different. That's 4 complete fenders, new rear doors, welding, body work, paint, etc. This is 100% bolt on plastics, and we're all familiar with oemplus's pricing.

I mean, personally, the A4 "allroad" we're getting here soon is not a proper allroad. It's just a facelifted B8 A4 Avant with a bodykit. To me a true allroad has the adjustable air suspension.

The one we're getting here is in fact the B8, but with the 2013 facelift. Audi has no current plans to bring the C7 A6 allroad here.
Like I have said in some other threads, fully painted flairs and bumpers is only available on a select few colors and the paint is flat/satin looking, not glossy like the rest of the car.
Not to mention the whole "Station wagon" stigma. Typically, most folks I speak with usually have to say this: So what car do you have? Ooh sweet an Audi! But, its still a station wagon... We can thank the big 3 for that. In my opinion though, I like the fact that Avants aren't popular in the US. It just makes them that much more special and unique. So when one is seen on the road, your eyes are immediately drawn to it(mine always are). Yes its sad that Audi won't be selling the A4 in Avant form any longer, but the fact that they are giving Avants another chance via Allroad is a ok with me.
People that are not in the same boat look at it as just that a station wagon, but when I see others in audi estates around my we wave to each other. Other people can piss off with their huge pickups.
