I just purchased the car and recieved it yesterday. An option that my wife and I were very interested in were the sun shades. We have the side windows and also the one on the liftgate. I've been seeing another shade option right behind the rear seats. Does anybody know what the part number for that is? Here's a picture of the sunshade that I am talking about.

That's not my car, but that's what I am looking for. Thanks in advance for the help.

Doesnt that not come standard on the Avants?

I know mine had it plus the two on the rear windows, nothing on the lift gate itself though.

Maybe your lift gate sun screen shade is the one meant to be behind the rear seats?

I don't know exactly what the part number is, but it's integrated into the cargo cover mechanism. I believe they are fairly common. I don't have door sunshades, but I have the sunshade you are showing here.

So....I looked at what you sent "Slow4" and it looks like it's for the 09 and up avants. I was able to narrow it down on genuinevwaudi.com and it's quite pricey...

Number 29....any body not using theirs and wouldn't mind parting with it for 100 bucks?....I have a 8 month old son and def going to be having more kids and this will help alot with sun glare. I'm in the Lancaster, PA area. Thanks for the feed back guys....

The only other thing that I can add, is to call up some junkyards. Avants are pretty rare as it is at these places, but its worth a shot. Go to http://car-part.com/ You should be able to find an avant or two around your area. That site might not have the exact part listed in the dropdown but you can search something like "rear seats" and that will give you an idea of what parts are still available from that vehicle.

Do you have an A6/S6 or A4/S4 avant?

here's one for sale for a B7 A4 Avant in seattle for $75. PM me and I can buy it and ship it to you. What color do you need?

EDIT: just noticed that you have an A6 avant, considering the audi parts website you linked to. Sorry :(

Here you go if you drive an A6 Avant, they are pricey, however this should work:

I'm getting the side window shades before this summer and if I really like them I'll get the ones for the back glass too.

Standard on the A6 Avant (I forget what Audi calls the system) and I use them all the time, even picked up a back-up set from ECS for real cheap (<$30, now much more) shipped. You can slide the aluminum one forward to help secure groceries and beverages from sliding all around.

Its not a shade. Its the cargo net that pulls up from the cargo cover.

fish is correct. its purpose is to prevent goods in the cargo area from spilling into the passenger area, not to shade the sun.

Beat me to it, it does not provide any real shade from the sun unless you are driving away from it at dawn/dusk and the sun is low in the sky. Not really worth retro-fitting unless you regularly carry high loads of cargo in the back. It's there to prevent things flying forward if you have to brake suddenly.

For what its worth its made of the exact same material as the side sunshades. Certainly a dual purpose feature.
