    Dealer ECU install

I feel as though I am doing something wrong. I bought an ecu loaded with the revo software (1+ or 2, w/e uses tt injectors) and I have been trying to get this thing installed. But I have been quoted 385 dollars for the job by the local vw/audi dealer, that is including injector install. Unfortunately, I don't have my tools up at school, and I am never home long enough to schedule with audi back where I am from so that I can install the injectors myself and save some money. Am I really shooting myself in the foot? I need a solution because what was a 600 dollar purchase (ecu/file and injectors) will end up being a 985 dollar investment...I can't see myself doing that... What should I be paying? Or is there another solution?

    Do it yourself?

Spend $15 on cheap tools at a harbor freight and $30 on a dremel at home depot, then when you are done return the dremel. That way you can do it yourself and have some basic tools with you to keep at school.

I always had simple tools while was away at school, save some money and also get in with some chicks for fixing some shit. Bitches love it when guys fix shit.

I can do it all, minus the immobilizer.

I'm going through the same thing now. Dealer quoted me $160 to install just the ECU. The thing is, it looks like the actual process of getting the immobilizer to play nice with your car will delete the flash.

Just send the ECU to Revo. Have them delete the immob. They'll charge you $80, $100 or something, then ship it back. All you do is plug it in. Bitches love it when guys just plug it in.

But then you loose the security features on your car...
