Except for the guy who lives in my building that decided to ditch his B6 A4 half on the road half over the curb.

Seriously though, this is the first time I've had the S4 in any kind of snow/ice and, coupled with the Blizzaks, it's a dream.

Anyone else loving the weather right now?

Ive had the A4 for a couple years now, but this is the first year that I had snow tires (dunlop winter sport's)
this thing is a tank with snow tires

The funny thing was I never knew they existed until I saw this one sitting at Barrier last spring. I was initially against getting a B6 because I thought they were "fat" and chunky, but once I saw this USP I was absolutely sold. I was looking at B5 A4s, dreaming of B5 S4s (still am actually! and I hated the unpainted lowers on the b6, liked the b7, but couldn't afford it.

I never knew what I was missing with the USP until I saw it in person! Very glad I lucked out and found it (and overpaid like a mofo, but its barrier and some rich bastard would have probably bought it for their 15 y/o.

Funny thing I saw a realatively poor condition B5 S4 manual at Chaplis VW and it was priced at $4k ABOVE blue book (the interior was is pretty bad shape too) and the sales guy basically admitted they were hoping to get some dumb Bellevue person looking for a "cheap" fun car for their High School kid...

As shitty as it sounds, the lots on 99 seem to have the out-of-the-box fair price on B5 S4s. Whenever I see an S4 at a bigger dealer it's marked at 10-12, it blows my mind. Then you start looking at shitty lots on 99 and they're marked at 7-9. Of course the lots on 99 are targeting cash buys or bad credit/29.95% interest loans where they're going to end up making 4k more over the course of the loan anyways.

It also doesn't help when you know these guys are only in it for 2-4k.. I would imagine B5 S4s bring in quite a bit of gross. I never had the chance to sell one used, 6 years ago it was all about those east coast BMWs and Saabs.. you could be looking at the lot and blind pick a car, no matter what you landed on you were walking away with 4k gross.

I was looking at Audis for a year before I could actually aford one, and by then I was so picky about the options I wanted that I could'nt find one that fit my bill, so I dumped the USP and picked up my monster truck A4..... which was kinda nice because I was able to put more down on it.... still dreaming of getting the USP front though

i blew my snow tire a week ago! but luckily local discount tire store had set of brand new michelin snow tires they wanted to get rid of so i got a killer deal 2 days before it started snowing. now i m loving every min of driving on snow. can we get some more snow?

I know, it sucks now that its all washing away with the rain. I was starting to go a little stir crazy sitting around at home working though. I hate working from home. It sounds weird but I just don't get a damn thing done.

Having said that I'll take a snow day any day!
