So I've been reading on the other South Florida Meet thread and I noticed there were people interested on moving that meet a bit more south. Since I doubt that will happen, I was wondering exactly how many people are actually interested on creating a meet here in Miami. And if there are, what day/time would be best. I think there are some really nice spots for photoshoots down here, like in the key biscayne bridge or on 395 in front of Jungle Island... So discuss.
Here's a pic taken right off 395 in front of Jungle Island
Btw, I'm not trying to take people out of the other meet... I'm still going to Caloosa park on the 28th, the pics are deff worth driving up there. And I do recommend all miami people to go.

I honestly think everyone needs to post cities of where we live/work and where ever the middle point is from two farthest members (I.e n to south, etc). We all should g2g, not 1/3 of us. Everyone should want to make the drive, that's half the reason we're on the forum. lmao and then when it's time to drive "its a pita" "too far". Too funny.

PM me if you need any B5 work done in south Florida.

That's why I said that everyone should still go to the Caloosa meet. I'm making the drive there and I think it's worth it. What I'm trying to do is see if the Miami crowd wants to do a small meet so we can all know each other. It's not the same thing meeting up with with guys from all the SF cities than actually just meeting up close with the miami people. I'm not trying to do a weekly meet or anything, I just wanted to know who my audi neighbors are.

Exactly!
It would be cool if we can do something this Saturday morning / afternoon. A meet and greet type thing like we had in Deerfield. I think we should do something soon that way maybe convince more people they want to attend a bigger group event (Caloosa.)
But that might be too soon...? Anyone?

I can do saturday. We can even maybe all drive up together to the Caloosa meet next week.
I suggested the Towers meet on fridays. Large crowd, i just wish there were more VAG cars and even other euros. The location is central to tri-county members. The location is at the Tower Shops parking lot ( <.5 miles south of I595 and University Dr. on the south east side). It cost $5 to show your car. There is an ale house / flannigans and other spots to get food and such in the same lot. I doubt it would be more than 30 minutes drive for anyone in the area.
I am in for the MIAMI meet. i dont know if i will make the caloosa meet but i will let you people know if i decide to go out there and maybe we can all ride out together from here.

Najjar, I honestly was going to plan a meet further into south Broward. The scenery and photo ops down there would be amazing. Someone (I think it was George) suggested Caloosa Park and people seemed to be down for it. Since I live in Boynton and am familiar with it (it is really nice there), I ran with the idea. I also wanted to do a south Beach/downtown Miami area meet but I don't know the best locations. I think 395 or the Key Biscayne bridge or a downtown Miami skyline backdrop would be sick!
I can plan more meets and coordinate with you Miami guys if you like. It's always good to know your Audi neighbors, both north and south. I would love to get some R8 guys involved, too.
Also, let's try to get everyone to join the Facebook group. It's a good way to post meets and pics. Not to take away from AZ forums, but if someone doesn't read the "Regional Forums - South East" thread, they may miss out. Everyone has Facebook and gets a notification if we post a meet. The link is in my signature.
What do you think?
Also, I hear Tower Shoppes is a good meet on Friday nights. Correct me if I'm wrong though, but isn't it a lot of American muscle cars? My buddy with a 'Vette Z06 used to go and tell me about it.
I hope to see you all next Saturday at Caloosa.

The facebook page should really be a group. No one can write on the wall of the page the way it is now...
I have done photoshoots on the key biscayne bridge and at the miami backdrop place (don't know how else to call it) near jungle island... The latter is a great place to meet.
Here are a few teasers from my recent shoot there (cell phone pics)
I would also be down to drive up with the rest of the miami group next saturday...

Caloosa Park Meet is coming up ... I think during that meet we should discuss where we would like to have the next meet so that all can make it.
I have been few times on the Tower Meet and it is fun and entertaining ... it is however "designed" for the American Muscle and Classic cars. There are few BMWs here and there. I am down for Towers any time.
If you guys set up a Miami Meet BEFORE Caloosa I will try to make it as well.

Agreed. I'm already working on a few places down south I would like to get your feedback on. We can talk about it next week.

Theres a classic car side and a newer car side. Lots of imports as well, more than classics most times. I just never see any VW/Audis.
Alright so for those who didn't get to go to the Caloosa meet, we decided to make the next meet on February 18th on Watson Island (in Miami where Jungle Island is located, behind the Children's Museum). Preferably the meet should be in the morning so the lighting is better. Here's the address of the meet: 980 MacArthur Causeway, Miami, FL 33132
