The Recaro ones are, as expected, pricey. Not sure of the safety ratings, etc, etc.
All that I can suggest is that you would want one that you can adjust the tension with a knob on the side, not in the front (assuming forward facing seat) AND a 5 point. Also, check how the L.A.T.C.H. system is set up in your car and/or in the child seat. Most US 2002 and above vehicles have it, mandated by law.
There are some cheap $hit ones that look great but when it comes to adjust-ability - forget it, they suck.
As your child's torso grows, you will have to adjust the shoulder straps so there is no getting out of that.
Take the seat out of the box and test fit your child. Adjust it then and there.
I used shelf liner (the soft spongy one that looks like tiny checker boards) and used that to protect the leather seats.
I used a Recaro when my son was very young. It was deeply bolstered and could be difficult to get your child in/out of as they get heavier. After my son reached 2, I replaced the Recaro with a Evenflo Maestro which works well. My wife has a Britax Frontier 85 in her Odyssey. It has a low seat height which makes it easier for ingress/egress and it's rated for up to 85lbs forward facing.
After careful consideration of the Recaro, I picked this one instead http://us.pegperego.com/babyproducts...ggio+SIP+30_30 Reason being was the Recaro does not offer the detachable seat so instead of awaking baby or handling baby every time you go to the store, switch vehicles etc. These types of seats are much more convenient when your little bundle of joy is an infant.

I drive an Audi, it isn't in the shop to be repaired. It is in the shop to be maintained.
At least thats what I tell myself in order to keep a level head!
^ my friend called me the other day to say he saw an b8 a4 (he isn't on the form) with two recaro baby seats and that was all. I lmao is was so funny esp since we're both 21 with no babies in the near future. I say buy those they are sweet for car seats, and seem to be rated very high in safety which is really what matters.

I get the same reaction at some of the GTG:
two pink child seats in the back of an RS6, someone always laughs and points!
It is all good!
The wife and I both have matching Eddie Bauer adjustable car seats w/100lbs max weight. They are made by Dorel Juvenile Group and have been great seats. Easy to clean, easy to adjust, easy to get the kiddos in and out of.
If I were shopping today, I think I would give some consideration to the "Safety 1st Air Protect" series (or similar technology from other makers). I dont know their actual crash ratings, but they appeared to be well built with very nice side impact protection.
I was in NJ last weekend and when a BMW330coupe pulled up and asked if i was driving a Real rs6 avant. I said no and he asked if i wanted to race anyway. I said "Dude, I have an infant in the backseat so no." He was shocked i didnt want to race him.
"Safety 1st Air Protect" - is that the one with side impact air bladders near the child's head?

You should have said "Why yes it IS a real RS6 Avant with 520HP AWD twin turbo V8 that will stomp a BMW 330 into the ground!"
Then watch him bristle with machismo and try to win you = his fail...
Shows some ignorance in his part for being clueless in life...
I use the Sunshine Kids "Radian". There are solidly constructed, fold for plane trips and are the only ones I can fit three in the back of my Audi. I know I know.... I am sleeping on my stomach from now on! Hah.
