in my 2nd to last pic you'll see from the balcony of my place to the car is about 30ft so it's not too bad. I never drive in a cold car I ALWAYS warm it up for a bit before getting in in the winter.
Doesn't help my drivers seat heating element only likes to heat the side bolsters haha. The passenger seat however, will set your ass on fire.

meh.. no clue and always never bothered me that much to tear the seat out lol.
I've owned 5 Audi's 4 B5s and 1 B6 and out of them I had a 96 that actually heated the drivers seat properly (go figure)

lol he seems proud of it by the smiley on the title.
LOL, I hit the wrong smiley.
My roommate and I share a garage space and he needed it to do some work on his MKV, so my baby got pushed to the street. Doesn't matter if its in the unattached/unheated garage or outside, its still damn cold in the morning!

00SantorinS4- What license plate bulbs do you have? Those look great... mine are hideously yellow looking.
Shoot Emilgevor a PM, he sells LED Kits and sells the license plate bulbs separate for $8.00 shipped to your door.
Never had a problem since the install and they look OEM and not tacky in the dark.

The whole kit is also a reasonable price. I myself, hate the fact that after I take my keys out of the ignition my car lights up the inside like a xmas tree. I prefer to be discrete and always have my lights in the off position unless I need to look for something in the vehicle. Call me weird I guess? And yes, The plate lights are secondary reverse lights LOL

Bought the plate bulbs this afternoon. Not going to go with the entire kit because I really don't want all that brightness in the cabin. It should be interesting getting the drivers side one installed because I tried to get the housing apart a few weeks ago to clean it and the previous owner stripped the shit outta the screw so I couldn't get it out.
Oh... I had the UMS plate when I lived in Portland years ago and my number was 25141. Small world.

I also have my interior lights set off. Always have. Idk I don't need everyone within eyesight knowing when I start/turn off my car, open/close my doors. Never know who's watching
LOL Looks like I'm not the only one with the interior lights perma off.
And AudiMat, very close numbers and VERY small world haha. I live in Saco, about 10 mins south of Portland. There's something about Maine that I just LOVE and there's something about it I hate.
Overall friendly people all around, not much crime, everybody knows everybody, I can drive 20mins and be in total wilderness, I can drive about 3mins and hit old orchard beach (which is shitty tourist season in the summer but you bet I know some private beaches I party on) I guess it's just a taste of everything in this state why I'll probably never leave. It's mainly old timers and white people which is likely why the crime rate is so low. If you hear about a shooting it's generally some black guy or goddamn somalian from portland killing one another. I'm not saying white people don't commit crimes and I'm in no way racist but it's just what I've seen over the 26 years I've been here lol. (Born and raised) However, I'd love to go to someplace a lil warmer in the winters. Oh well maybe when I retire, oh and best part. IVE NEVER HEARD OF A CAR JACKING IN MAINE. At least in the past 5-10 years..

Yea, I LOVED living there. I grew up in Vermont and Portland felt a lot like Burlington. I loved the old port on a Friday night with so much energy, and you're right... It takes no time and you're out in the middle of nowhere with some great roads to drive on. LOL, its the way life should be! I'm sure at some point I'll return to New England, but for now its fun exploring bigger cities.

Where in Vermont did you grow up? I spent most of my childhood up there. I spent some time in South Burlington, then made my way to the Lake Champlain islands. It was nice living out on the lake, but everything was 45 min+ away, and for someone in the IT field, its tough finding work.

Small town named Perkinsville. Southeastern end of the state off of Exit 8 on 91. Closest thing around that anyone would know is Ludlow where Okemo Mtn ski resort is was about 15min away.
