allroad interior upgrade...
After driving the allroad for over a year it became apparent that the seats , although rugged, generally suck.
I looked at a number of options, including importing an RS6 avant silver/black full interior from Germany.
.
The door cards in the allroad...
.

.
Eventually, I found an Audizine member (thanks, Chris!) who was parting his A6 sedan, and picked up the sport seats and door cards.
I wanted something less monochrome (grey on black) and decided to upgrade the new seats and door cards with ultrasuede inserts...
.

.
...and it's Euro perforated pattern...
.

.
I should have the seats back early next week, and I'll post pics as the parts are installed...

2) No one else has this combination....
3) Been watching too much HGTV with the wife...
I'll post photos later today with the door cards installed for comparison.

Any idea how involved it is to take apart the door cards to reupholster the insert? I would like to do something similar, as an all tan interior is very bland to me.

The door handles are actually fused (melted) to the door panel, so they are a PITA to remove (dremel) and have to be glued back on after the inserts are done. One of the reasons I hired a top notch upholstery shop to do it...
I'll post some pics of the inside of the panel so you can get a better idea of what's involved.
Not a job for the faint of heart, but the end result should be well worth it.

I actually may try this. I like how yours came out. (I'm totally OCD so mine will need to be black to match my other wrapped interior parts (headliner ect)) But thanks for the idea along with tips on involvement of removing the handle.

As promised, before and after pictures of the back of the door card...
.
This is the panel before removing the door handle showing the fused areas, which need to be ground off in order to remove the handle...
.

.
...and here is a shot after the handle has been reinstalled. The shop used large washers, sheet metal screws and lots of epoxy, so there will never be an issue with the handle coming loose...

While I don't like the wood grain still being there, I do like the red and the finished product. Looking forward to finished pictures with the seats in.

Yeah, it looks alot different in the wide shots, but up close the perforated pattern really shows (see the close up at the bottom of my 1st post)... a bit of retro Euro look (reminds me of my old '71 Audi 100LS)...

The face lifted cars done have the stitch lines OEM.
But honestly... I LOVE it. For my needs, I would keep it black but still, looks amazing!
Care to share the cost involved? Materials and labor. If not, thats cool. Looks amazing anyway.

Thanks Vinny!
Black or The Silver/white sport seats were what I was originally looking for but I couldn't turn down the dark grey. The red ultrasuede inserts really look good with the grey. I had a number of choices for the inserts, but I wanted something colorful that would stand out...tired of driving in the land of bland...and they are quite comfortable!

The seats and door cards are from a donor car with the dark grey interior. The top portion of the grey donor door cards (surrounding the wood trim & door handles) is actually the same black color as the original allroad door cards. The dash and all other trim parts are still the original stock allroad black(ish) color, just a bit dusty in the pictures.
I thought about changing the wood trim, but it actually works well with the look I'm going for (more upscale). I'm thinking of doing the shift boot in the ultrasuede, and possibly sourcing a 2001 allroad wood shift knob (Warren?) to complete the package.
