    Removing Dealer Decal from trunk

    Hey Everyone,

So if you have ever purchased a car from McDonald automotive, you know they put a little sticker with their dealership name and number on the back of the car. I want to take that off but don't want to damage/scratch the paint at all. Anybody have any advice? Easiest way? I know the easiest may just be sort of scratching it off with a finger nail, but what does everyone think?

I would post a picture, but with all this snow, my car is FILTHY, never seen it this dirty

+1. I took my mcdonald sticker off carefully with a razor blade and cleaned it up with adhesive remover. You'll need some heat with all this cold. It'll make it a cinch.

It's just a vinyl sticker. Use a fingernail to lift an edge, heat, and pull. Goo be gone afterwards.

this. i used a blow dryer, floss, and goo gone. floss helps even with the vinyl, and won't damage your car at all. just cuts through the adhesive

the blow dryer worked really well, didn't even need floss. All I did was peel the letters off, use a little bug tar remover, wipe it down, and it looks so much cleaner now! thanks everyone

Hahaha I used to be the asshole that put those stickers on. Pressure washer works to just don't get to close or you'll take the paint with it. Heat gun works well too.

Why would you ever want to remove the McDonald Automotive sticker? I'm probably going to get my entire car vinyl wrapped with that awesome logo.
